Make a reservation before you go, they are unfortunately having to limit capacity, not to worry though this culinary experience is exquisite. I love small intimate dining rooms, the interior decor is soothing, and you are never out of sight of staff for anything you might want. The menu is simple yet full of complicated flavor combinations that will tantalize taste buds. They make delicious cocktails, especially gin martinis, cosmos, and old fashions. We also dabbled with the wine, and enjoyed a buttery Pinot noir from Argentina, outstanding. We ordered the muscles and beet salad for appetizers. Best muscles I've had in years, the broth is rich and full of lamb sausage as well. The beet salad were also incredible. I ordered the duck, my partner ordered the steak, and our guests had the chicken and the steak. Everyone's plate was spotless when we finished eating, literally like clean plates sitting in front of us. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great sense of humor. This place has class and will have you coming back again and again. Do yourself a favor, invite your partner out for an evening, make a reservation, but more importantly, go home with a smile in your heart and delicious memories.

We went here for lunch one day. The restaurant is quite small inside but has a good sized patio. The atmosphere is relaxing and the interior is pretty. The staff was all very nice and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the French onion soup, mussels, creme brule and cosmopolitan drink. I highly recommend all of these dishes. The soup wasn't very big but ended up being the perfect amount. The mussels are a very good value as you get a pound of them. They are cooked in a delicate wine sauce and aren't overcooked. The fries they come with are delicious with their garlic aioli. The creme brule was the best I've ever had anywhere. The drink was perfectly mixed. The prices are pretty aligned to other restaurants in Elora. I think the quality of the food is really good and you get what you pay for in that regard. If you're looking for gigantic portions, go to a buffet. We loved it and had a really great dining experience from start to finish. We'll come back here again. A +++

On a whim, we decided at 4 p.m. to escape Toronto. We knew that the traffic was going to be bad but we didn't care because it had been a nightmare of a week. Setting sail on our little adventure, we wound up in Elora, a beautiful, picturesque place with unique shops and restaurants. We stopped at The Evelyn and we were lucky enough to be seated outside. Even luckier still to meet our beautiful and fabulous server, Dawn. And our luck just kept on rolling in: a fabulous dinner-- for me: house salad with seared trout, and curried clams for my partner-in-crime. A meet and greet with the lovely and charming Abby and then our chef came by to say hello. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway. We were truly Bonnie and Clyde and we made out like bandits with this discovery. Don't tell anyone...we'll be back...again, and again. With thanks for helping us recalibrate. We went home stuffed and happy. Vicki and Jim aka Bonnie and Clyde

There was a problem with my food here, and I feel the restaurant did not care enough to properly correct it. I ordered the risotto, and it was served undercooked. The rice was too hard -- crunchy and difficult to chew through. I notified the waitress and it was taken back to be cooked more. It arrived a few minutes later, heated up, but with the exact same issue. Another waitress came by afterwards and asked how the risotto was. I replied that the rice was still very hard, to which there was no response. There were no further attempts to check in on me or to try to resolve the issue. I ended up eating around the rice, leaving most of it behind to be discarded. It was a disappointing experience, and I regret choosing to dine here while visiting Elora.

Had lunch at The Evelyn while in town for a couple of days. The day we came they had a set menu. We ordered: Lamb Navarin The lamb is like a stew. The meat to vegetable ratio was heavy on the veggies. Wish there was more meat and less potatoes in this dish. Mussels: This was tasted like a delicious curry. Loved all the leeks in this this. It comes with bread which was perfect for dipping in the remaining sauce. I chose the tomato soup as the side dish which came in a tiny adorable cup so you don’t fill up on soup. For dessert they had strawberry tart and brownie with raspberry sorbet. The tart and sorbet was good but the brownie was too rich. Overall a good meal.

Came here to get a small bite for dinner while visitng Elora. Since it was Canada Day, there was a Canada Day weekend menu which I think we could only order from. This was a bit disappointing since we wanted to order from their regular menu because the dishes there looked more interesting. Out of all the dishes we ordered, I liked the fries in the “chalet-suisse” chicken and the fish cakes the most. The chicken was crispy but was dry on the inside, which the gravy helped cover up. The servers also weren’t really attentive to refilling water without being asked to. Despite this, If I ever find myself in Elora I would come here again to try the regular menu.
