This was a fave spot pre-pandemic and this was our first time back since 2020. We won’t go back again. After waiting 40 minutes for our food, we asked our server how much longer it would be. The response? “I don’t know. There’s a party of 20 in the back.” A few minutes later a different person came to tell us that “according to your chit in the kitchen, you’ve only been waiting 30 minutes. Your order is right after the party of 17.” And walks away. One of the guests at our table is diabetic and so we asked our server for a piece of toast and jam while we waited. She took out her order pad and asked how many pieces of toast we wanted to ORDER. Nope. No thanks. Went to the serving station in front of the kitchen where some servers were congregated. Stated that we had been waiting over 40 minutes for food, someone at our table was feeling ill, could we PLEASE get a piece of toast. A women approached from the side and demands “I’M the MANAGER. Why are YOU talking to MY staff?” Then proceeds to loudly berate me for complaining when they so busy with the party of 14! (20, 17, 14? How big was this group actually?) I was so embarrassed and SHOCKED that I literally walked out the front door to take a little walk and calm myself. Other diners walking out at the same time were also shocked at the way the MANAGER spoke to me and asked if I was ok. I did return to eat and our server apologized profusely, but we never did see the MANAGER again and our breakfast was over $100 with tip. NEVER....
Read moreI came here with my partner, and right off the bat it wasn’t a good experience, the host made eye contact with me when we walked in and maybe they were busy but there was no urge to walk over to us and greet us, we ended up being greeted by a server. Once we were sat we ordered our food, my partner got the 3 egg omelette and I got a chicken wrap. The fries were cold, which was a little disappointing but the most disappointing thing was that our sever never came to quality check us. Didn’t ask how our food was or nothing. It wasn’t busy and it seemed like we were just ignored for the most part. We also noticed that other tables got jams for toast, was that something we are supposed to ask for ? It wasn’t offered for my partners side of toast with his omelette. It sucks because we normally love coming here but after this experience we were so disappointed. The service was painful, and my partner pointed out that servers were standing around talking and staring which made us feel uncomfortable. I’m not sure if the individual serving us was new but the service and the staring was enough for us to not want...
Read moreOn Feb 13,2013...my wife and I had occasion to dine at this establishment...we found the wait staff to be friendly, courteous and as helpful as any we have encountered. The Food was a very generous portion (almost too much)...the price was very good..and the overall quality of the meal was excellent. The presentation was adequate seeing it was essentially good homecooking food we ordered. The only minor dislike was that the roast beef was a bit dry and overcooked...(probably had been on a steamer table)...other than that...the potatoes we very good, the vegetables were done to perfection, and the coleslaw was one of the best I have had in the area. For someone looking for a good restaurant with good food in a clean and inviting decor, this place fits the bill. The prices are excellent and the layout of the place could offer a good place for business meetings as we noted they did have a private room that could sit about 30-40 people...We did not see one thing that would turn anyone off on this visit...Appears to be a very well run...
