Our family decided we needed a healthy dose of rivalry and wanted to try something completely different and original. I’ve always wanted to do an Amazing Race concept and have always loved our experiences with One Axe Pursuits (previously we’ve done ice climbing and their Mission Impossible). Similar to when we did Mission Impossible, we reached out to One Axe and described our unique position: we’re a family looking to do this and only 6 of us. We weren’t corporate or a massive group but they were more than excited to make the event amazing for us! It was a FANTASTIC time. What an amazing time. We ran all over town over a span of 4 hours - they even added in extra challenges for us. We even chose to include the rappelling add on - highly recommend! We walked away with many new amazing memories and a month later still talk about it. Would highly recommend this event. They support you every step of the way and don’t hold back to make sure it’s an amazing experience for everyone! Would recommend time and time again.

I took my partner and I to do the Zipline Extreme package recently and we had an awesome time. When I booked it I wasn't sure if it would be worth the price but it ended up vastly exceeding my expectations and was well worth it! Within a couple hours my partner and I were rappelling and zipping like experts! And I absolutely cannot overstate how much fun it is to Zipline into the middle of a gorge, drop a rope down, and then rappel down from the zipline. We had crowds of people watching us from above and below! Also, our instructor was the owner and founder of the company, and he is not just some dude - he is a world-class rigger and stunt coordinator whose work has contributed to world records and was on he cover of National Geographic. He was also super friendly! All in all it was a fantastic day and I cannot recommend this enough!

I had a fantastic time getting introduced to ice climbing with Frederick yesterday. He is clearly experienced, knowledgeable, and just a fun guy to hang around. Having all the gear provided and the ice just next door by the river made it such an easy and convenient experience. We got lots of climbs in and helpful feedback as we went along for both ice climbing and rope safety. Would definitely recommend anyone whether experienced with climbing or not that's in the are to come here to try some ice climbing. He's got you covered with lots of photos and videos to take home too. Bonus points for being able to walk over to the brewery on the main street afterwards for dinner and a drink.

Just tried their ice climbing experience last week and I'd highly recommend it! As someone whose done indoor climbing less than 10 times (auto belay) and outdoor climbing once, I wanted to venture into a beginner ice climbing adventure. What I liked most about One Axe Pursuits was their communication, and attention to safety without minimizing the fun factor. For instance, they were able to answer a lot of my questions prior to the booking and even gave helpful tips on what gear to buy and what wasn't needed. And when the weather was too warm one weekend, I easily had the option to cancel for a refund or reschedule. I never once felt pressure to have to reschedule or like getting my money back would be hard. When my friend and I actually went ice climbing, there was about 30-40 mins of instruction from Frederick, the lead guide and preparations to gear up before heading down to the wall. And then Patrick was the other staff member who was on site with my friend and I to ensure the knots on our harnesses were tied properly every time, but he also helped us remove slack from the rope while belaying (which was necessary since my friend and I were beginners) and I also really appreciated the ground anchor as an added safety measure to mitigate weight differences between climber and belayer. In short, my friend and I never once felt like we could fall and could simply focus on having a good time and climbing. I think Patrick and Frederick's passion and enthusiasm for not just climbing but teaching really came through and made the experience. Just note that while the meeting time is 10am, you'll be climbing by like 11am so my advice would be to ensure you eat breakfast that morning of and have a light lunch/snack at 10:30am during the training otherwise you'll be like my friend who skipped breakfast to not eat...

My recent visit to Elora, Ontario, was an unforgettable adventure thanks to One Axe Pursuits. If you're looking for a unique and thrilling experience, I can't recommend their rappelling program enough. We spent time mastering urban, stunt, and cliff rappelling, and it was an absolute blast from start to finish. The variety of descents kept the experience fresh and exciting, and I had a genuinely great time tackling each challenge.

The communication while booking my events was great, working out what adventures I would do and when. The instructor was exceptionally knowledgeable, providing clear and concise instruction that made me feel safe and confident with every step. Their friendly and encouraging approach created a fantastic atmosphere, and it was obvious they were passionate about what they do. I left with an incredible memory.

Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or a first-timer looking for a new kind of adventure, One Axe Pursuits delivers a top-notch experience. I highly recommend them for anyone...
