We went to Get Air yesterday after an appointment at IWK before heading back on the highway to home. In the city we always go to Build a bear and head home. We needed to check out this trampoline park and we only were there an hour and I was worried the hour wouldnt be enough for my kids however they were exhausted! I am exhausted! My sister is exhausted! We cant wait to go back. It was a great time bouncing. The staff was super attentive. We got there I think just before 5. The staff member that rung us in was very excited for us to be there and it was such a welcoming experience. We got all of our socks and away we went. She was very thorough and genuinely pleasant!! I believe she was off right after she rang us in because a few minutes later I didnt see her again but there was about 3 or 4 other staff members. One was training a newer girl and she was showing her around while explaining the rules and WHY they were the rules. Im sorry for eavesdropping but I work at an elementary school and cant seem to turn off the "active listening and active watching". Aside from the woman training the new member there were two employees walking around keeping an eye on everyone and making sure everything stayed tidy and proper. Without someone mentioning it they noticed a hanging rope was hung up and they grabbed a hook and got it down. They noticed there was some foam cubes and they tossed them back to the drop spot. It was not super busy when we got there but it was not like they were bored out of their minds walking around aimlessly. They were walking around ensuring everyone was following the rules and making sure the foam cubes stayed where they should. I noticed a couple kids needing reminders of no running and there was even one kid who needed 2 reminders and they said "Remember please, no running" in a matter of fact but kind way. Those employees were fantastic all walking around ensuring everything goes smoothly. We would absolutely make the drive from pictou county next time just to go to Get Air, Dartmouth. From being checked in to leaving they were amaze-balls. Shortly before we were leaving there were older teens that came in and they werent being idiots or anything just teenagers. But I could notice they were paying attention to them just incase they needed a reminder they were going too far/too hard. It was such an amazing environment. My daughter gave up playing dodgeball with me and another little fella came and asked if I would play with him. Obviously I did lol! But I noticed another mom cheering on my son when he went off of the swing. It was such a great environment. I loved playing, bouncing, and people watching. It filled my bucket up to the brim before going back to school and I hope all employees and their parents are proud of themselves for how well they work in such a sometimes chaotic environment. If anything went wonky behind the scenes while we were there not one person in the building had a clue. Employees were all attentive and easy to find if there was an issue. Thank you so much!! We were there on a friday just before 5 and left just after 6. It was a very very long hour!! Fulfilling and we didnt wait to get in. We have showed up before and it was at capacity so we knew it was a gamble showing up. There was only a brief 5 minute wait and that was only because the girl that came right in behind me looked like she was going with the girl ahead of me already at the counter so I told her to go ahead of me. The only wait was my own doing! It was a perfect end to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very disappointed with the customer service today. When I questioned the $40+ for admission, I was met with a curt, unfriendly response - boarder line condescending. This was after our initial abrupt āgreetingā in which said woman blurted out āhave you signed the waiver form!?ā No āhey guys!ā or āhello there!ā just straight into āhave you signed the waiver!ā Very aggressive and hardly inviting. As we jumped around I noticed my daughter was getting tired and we hardly needed an hour, let alone the two I purchased. So I stopped the same woman and asked if we could be refunded an hour. She replied with āno, our machines donāt do refunds. But I can give you a voucherā Again, in the same tone, without any sort of empathy or friendliness. I found this particularly frustrating as there were many sections of the place that were under repair and many of the trampolines had foam and dirt on them, suggesting a lack of cleanliness. So it didnāt seem fair to be paying so much money when the staff couldnāt be bothered to be nice, the building wasnāt completely available to jump, and what was available wasnāt being maintained.
Finally, when we were leaving, the same disgruntled woman walked up and handed me a voucher and walked away. As we were putting our shoes on, I heard this woman say goodbye and have a nice day to another group who were leaving. But when she handed me the voucher there was no goodbye or apology for any inconvenience. She just handed the card and walked away. The whole experience made me feel like it was my fault for making her have to explain why I had to pay $40+, and why I couldnāt get a refund.
I can forgive a lot and am fairly patient with people. You never know what someone is going through, but I expect the same type of treatment be reciprocated. Especially when - at that time - your interacting with parents of young children. The last thing we need is an attitude and an inability to at least attempt at giving someone a satisfactory experience. When Iām paying $40+ to use your facility for a couple hours, I would expect at least some respect/politeness. Especially when Iām treating you with respect and being courteous.
Will certainly think twice about returning. Even with the voucher. Truly a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI very very rarely leave reviews. I want to start by saying the girl at the front desk was super nice, and helpful. But there is a sign when you get to the desk that says there is ONE staff member for the entire place. We should have left upon seeing this. Having no supervision is absolutely WILD. Itās a free for all, a death trap waiting to happen. We went to a sky zone in New Brunswick, and while k realize this is a different chain, the concept is the same. They had staff members everywhere ensuring that people were filling the rules. Get air had ONE who (at no fault of her own) had no choice but to be at the desk the whole time. While my kids had an okay time, half the place was blocked off and closed down. There was a section for small kids that had LARGE kids in it the entire time. Thereās supposed to be one kid per trampoline, multiple times my 5 year old was knocked down from Others jumping on the trampoline he was on. This in itself is so dangerous, being double bounced can lead to serious injury. Kids climbing walls. People hanging out in the foam pits preventing others from jumping in. Parents way off to the side of the building not watching their own kids. They offered a couple mini bags of chips as snacks, and had a few bottles of water in a fridge. Were a family of 4 and paid $145 dollars to jump for 3 hours and left early because of the lack of supervision, our kids couldnāt even enjoy it and wanted to leave. We live 4 hours away and this was something my kids were most excited about and hardly enjoyed it. Not only that but itās filthy. This place needs some major attention. But more than that it needs MORE STAFF. Itās absolutely wild that you allow an absolute free for all. Even with a waiver being signed, this...
