Kebab Kitchen Kebab & Meze House — Attraction in Dartmouth

Disappointing Experience Two of us visited Kebab Kitchen in Halifax today. Upon arrival and after being seated, no one attended to us right away. We ordered lentil soup, one lahmacun each, and two ayrans. However, the lahmacuns arrived before the soups. To avoid them getting cold, we started eating, and the soups only arrived after we had finished half of our lahmacuns. The ayrans were also below expectations.

There was no lemon or fresh greens served with the lahmacuns or soups. When I asked the server why, I was told, “Canadian customers never ask for lemon.” There were no wet wipes provided. The washroom door was broken and wouldn’t close. When we asked two different servers if Turkish tea was available, one said “Yes” and the other said “No” — and the tea was not complimentary. The water bottles on the table were refilled from the tap.

We especially felt disappointed with the soup, as it was a very small portion — I didn’t count exactly, but it was gone in about 12 spoonfuls. Overall, there was a sense of neglect and lack of care in the restaurant.

We did not enjoy our visit and would not recommend this place. Unfortunately, it does not reflect the true quality or spirit of authentic...

Worst customer service ever had, never recommend to anyone. I didn’t eat the food anything so I don’t know how the food would be, can’t eat at a place with this kind of customer service. Reply for the reply.

"First of all, I'm not someone who typically leaves negative replies. When something is good, I truly appreciate the effort and leave positive feedback. However, if I have a bad experience, I react based on what happened. I was specifically talking about my personal experience. To begin with, there was no sign indicating that the washroom wasn't open to the public. I've never usually had an issue using the washroom; sometimes people lock it, so I simply ask if they can pass the key or unlock it. I asked the person at the front where the washroom was, and they directed me there. We were there hoping to have a good meal, but a couple of my friends waiting outside changed the plan due to time constraints. I don't think I needed to buy anything since I was already inside. I chanced upon this place after dropping my child off for a party at GetAir which is a skip away and boy, was I ever lucky!!

The food was more than fantastic! It was flavourful and wholesome and hits me in the right spot! The service was also impeccable. The restaurant has a robot serving customers their food — my children weren’t with me but I am sure they would be thrilled to have been served by the robot!

Just as I was leaving, I saw a tray of freshly made baklava. I bought some to go but couldn’t wait to try it. The scent of the butter hits my nose as soon as I ripped the cover off. I thought I would have one piece in the car before I drove off. BUT I COULDN’T STOP AT JUST ONE PIECE! It was out of the world AMAZING! This is the best baklava I ever had in my life!
