Boardwalk is well maintained, even after major weather events which reshape it (physically move the boardwalk). It is a nice walk and has a couple of spots where you may chose to stop and relax and enjoy the ocean/passage views. You can fish from here or walk quite far out as there are sand bars which make portions very shallow or wait until low tide and walk on those same sand bars. Also Fisherman's Cove is adjacent to the beach and has many interesting shops. Lived in Eastern passage for almost my entire life and this place just feels like home. Great for walks with or without the kids. Always enjoyable for everyone and the view makes it so peaceful. I could never not live by the ocean and its wonderful to have such a beautiful walking place (for exercise or leisure) so close to home. Its a very popular place in the summer months too for tourists and is definitely a spot you want to check out if you're here visiting. Great restaurants and shops to check out too.
