When I sat Sammy, we went there everyday. When I saw this on Google, I had chills and best memories of us being there. We would have picnics on the deck, blanket and all. 😂 Sammy would run his cars down the ramp and sometimes they would go under the side of deck. We had to find stick to get them out. Who what fun times we had there. My vision of the brook is part of my every night meditation with Jesus walking my way in those tall ( fussy off white weed). 😁. I really don't know why I related the two in my meditation, I think because I love Sammy, the walks through the garden and sitting on bench by brook. 😀 I am now 73, living in White Rock BC, little over a year. This view started sometime after moving here. Would like to know if the children's garden was ever done. What a blessing it will be for the young children growing up, walking through all the new and amazing plants, trees and even little creatures. 😀 Coming home in 2020, I am hoping Sammy, now teenager, can walk together in the Botanical Gardens again. Read moreDeceptive. Upon first entering the Botanical gardens, you will come across the Mixed Perennial Garden. When you go past that, it kind of felt like that was it. I had a slight sense of disappointment until I saw the sign pointing to more. In order to see everything here, you would most likely have to spend an hour or two as there are so many trails and hidden gems. Make sure to bring bug spray though. The future sites if the kids garden and rose garden don't seem to be moving forward though as I could see no work either being done or that had been done. Even so, a great place to either bike through fairly quickly, taking photos along the way, or a nice walk and picnic for the day. Read moreBeautiful and relaxing. Incorporating gardens into a forest for a tranquility and refreshing stroll. What a perfect way to start the day after a wonderful light breakfast. Offering different paths all marked so need to worry about finding yourself. Benches to just sit and reflect while taking in the scenery. A few streams to let your mind wander.
Definitely recommend if you enjoy getting those steps in.
