My colleague submitted a report, and this issue has been resolved. So the issue that day was with the waiter and not the brand Swiss Chalet My colleague and I were impressed with the action that was taken by management, and also, the apology note and coupons we received were awesome.
Our experience there the second time was very fast and professional. Our sever knew her job and served us very well.

I was there on July 31st, 2024, with a colleague around 7pm ish. We were offered a booth to sit and wait for a waiter to attend to us with menus provided to both of us. We sat and waited for close to 30 minutes with no one attending to us. A waiter passing by noticed we had been sitting for a long time approached us and asked whether we had been attended to and we said no. She then told us she was going to call our assigned waiter to come attend to us. He came after 7 minutes and asked us what drinks we wanted. We gave him our orders (food included). He served us the drinks, and it took him forever to bring us our food. We had to call him to tell him we could no longer wait for the food and that we wanted to pay for the drinks and leave. It was then he told us our food was ready. He finally brought the food and made a mistake with my order. I drew his attention, and then he brought me the salad I ordered. Fast forward we finished our meal, requested for our bill and that also became a problem for him. We watched him pack crates, clear tables, take orders from other customers, and serve them, while we waited for him to bring the bill. We called a colleague of his to help us get our bill. It was until then that he brought us the bill. We were very patient that day but vouched never to visit the place again. We were served very poorly...

We ordered delivery: A family chicken + rib meal + 4 sides. Our order arrived with only two sides (both orders of fries/sweet potato fries missing - even though the chipotle mayo for the fries was included), a missing coleslaw and no butter for the rolls even though it was requested.
When I called to say the sides were left out, I was asked to come pick them up. I said seriously? You messed up our order and want me to drive 20+ minutes round trip to come pick them up? I ended up speaking to a manager and after asking if they were going to offer anything like a free dessert or SOMETHING for the mistake and the rest of our food getting cold while we waited 30 minutes for the sides to arrive they said "I'm so sorry" and hung up. Called back, got put on hold a few times and eventually (to their credit) said they'd re-send the entire order so it was all warm when it arrived. Fair enough.
Second order arrived with no butter for the rolls and the wrong side (baked potato instead of sweet potato fries) and no large chalet sauce as ordered. Called them again and they said no that's what you ordered even though my receipt clearly showed sweet potato fries.
Kind of hard to wrap your head around screwing up up 3+ items on two orders in a row and offer nothing to make up for it. Ordered at 6:50pm and ended up finally getting our (incorrect) food at 8:30.
Food was great as Swiss Chalet usually is but 0/10 for the service and staff. Honestly won't order delivery from here again - it's not the first time we've had issues...
Read moreAfter a long day of Christmas shopping my daughter, sister and I decided to dine at Swiss Chalet. After showing our 2 dose proof of vaccinations and ID we were promptly seated with menus. The restaurant was not overly full and there were many servers and bus people about. After approximately a half hour with no one approaching us or taking our drink orders, I stopped a server walking by and asked her to send us a waitress/waiter as we had been waiting for almost a half hour. She immediately apologized and said waitress was clearing a table and should be with us shortly. We again waited for a bit with no one approaching us. The server came back and apologized again and took our drink orders, which she served immediately. I noticed her speaking with a gentleman at the front of the restaurant. She came back and took our food orders, again apologizing. Shortly after she returned to our table, apologized again for the wait, and said we would get 20% discount of our bill. Now, my intent was not to get any discount. We were hungry. A few minutes later she returned with the gentleman she was speaking to at the front of the restaurant, who turned out to be the manager. He apologized profusely and reiterated the 20% discount we would received. I advised him that that was not my intent or necessary, but appreciated. We received our food, which was delicious! She came back many times to see how we were doing and the manager kept coming into the dining area to check the status. Our profound thanks to the server, Meredyth and the manager, Carlos.
