Pür & Simple — Restaurant in Fredericton

This is probably the best "breakfast" place I've ever eaten, although they serve some non-breakfast related dishes.

Every single item of food that I've had (4 visits in the last 2 months) has been literally perfect. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of food here. I could ramble on, but long story short... YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!

The only reason I am giving a 4 out of 5 stars is because of something extremely insignificant that only about 0.5% of the people who went it would notice, but considering that I work as a Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer, it's one of the first things I did notice. Along the top of the inside walls are giant print outs of ingredients like blueberries, etc. Whoever 'cut' these out in Photoshop did an embarrassing job. It's an egregious error and the fact that it was approved and put up on the wall is astonishing from a marketing perspective. I would likely be fired if I allowed that to happen setting up one of my stores. When I saw this the first time I went in, I was worried that the food quality would match that of which was up on the wall. Luckily for me I was pleasantly surprised!

At the end of the day, 99.5% of people would never care about this so I know that my opinion or 'gripe' here is completely insignificant, but I think it's at least worth mentioning when future locations of the restaurant are opened so it can be avoided. Presentation of the location should match the presentation...

One of our favourite places to go and always busy, which is no problem. A friend and I were in on Sunday. As you can imagine… quite busy, right? Fine. We join the wait list which was about 15-20 minutes. Also fine… the hostess at the front and all the waitstaff were amazing. But the manager in the other hand… I was so disappointed in. The hostess made us aware that we were next and out table was being set up. The manager asked the hostess if there were any tables open and she said yes but also pointed to us, he proceeded to grab the things to set The table and passed them to a waitress and told her to seat another couple who asked how much longer it would be, mind you they weren’t long after us. Another couple then stepped forward to ask the same thing and he was about to seat them ahead of us as well until thankfully the hostess said something as did I. The manager did not apologize but instead thought it was funny? I’ve worked in the industry myself for many years, I know what it’s like. Everyone else was amazing...

We have eaten at Pur & Simple many times, hence why we return, and today, my son's 32nd birthday, his choice was Pur & Simple. We waited 45 to 50 mins for our food, it was warm but certainly not hot. I ordered one of their skillets, which I always get, and usually you can't touch the skillet, and the waitress hands it to me and says, "It's OK, it's not hot", well it's supposed to be, hence why my food was luke warm. They had no Avocado for the particular style of Eggs Benedict that my son and his fiancee ordered. Who runs out of Avocado, there's a grocery store right down the street. My son waited like 20 mins to get his drink which was a Caesar and it was terrible and watery. People around us who had come after us were getting food before us, and our waitress was very unattentive. We had to hunt her down for our receipt. Sorry Pur & Simple, but we'll be finding a new venue with hotter food and much...
