Casino in grande prairie -Some people have no business being in there ! -example if you sold your farm and you bank account is bursting and your 90 you don’t care about your inheritance to your family go blow it there pay for the staffs wags -cause the theory they used to advertise they keep 50 % it more like they keep 91% percent -so if you feel like you will cry if you spend $100. And win $8. You have no business being there ! I know this was told to me by someone who spent there hard earned money and they past away -who played there from 1995- to 2011 did he ever win all those years maybe won $5000. But spent $2000. A month or more .That’s is no lie but if you read this and think great they won - don’t be that fool -go there expecting to lose -cause you actually will -then one day maybe five years from now if you haven’t figured it’s rigged you might win - but it will be bitter sweet cause in your heart you were expecting to win some of your money back .like that second day so that’s why you kept going back like a fool - it might not be caught on video it’s really like a ghost was there and you didn’t know it -they kicked your butt as you left the building -and the staff upstairs are laughing so hard they can’t hold their shit in and actually now that you keep going back their shit is hitting walls upstairs ! Because they are laughing so hard ! Fool if you want to get some of your money back get a job there ! That will be money ! But I wouldn’t -I would encourage you to write a heart felt review like I did -instead buy your wife a ring or your kids that special toy & your grandparents a meal somewhere but maybe the food at casino is great so that maybe but I won’t the temptation my creat another gambler you will have to live with that - be a hero invent a hobby sport that doesn’t hurt...

I notice they deleted their Google Acoount because there rating was so low and reactivated it to get a better one. Here's my review that got deleted in that process. I only do this cause I've yet to get a response from Customer Service/Management on here or on an email I sent aswwell. Ignoring your customers is not a good business strategy.

A group of ten of us entered the Great Northern Casino yesterday evening Feb 11/23 looking forward to some live entertainment and dancing since it was our friends 40th Birthday, two people in our group were denied access, the Security Guard (Connor) single handily made the decision that they were intoxicated.

For sure we had a couple drinks before arriving but nowhere near intoxicated, high on life because of our friend's birthday? absolutely. Also have thick Accents.

the two that were denied access are the most relaxed, gentlest guys you can ever meet and one being the birthday girl's husband.

the security guard (Connor), if he just took a minute to talk to them and really judge their "intoxication" minus there Accents and he would have seen they were not.

We have been going to the Casino to enjoy the live entertainment and dancing for just about 2 decades and have never experience or encountered such unprofessional staff at the doors. I understand the job can be tough, but they need to do better. Maybe additional training is required.

We were an age group of 40+ who were just looking to have some fun and dance the night away with our friend on her 40th birthday.

Even though we know some of the staff in the lounge, We will reconsider going to the Casino...

I come to GP once a quarter for work. Do not blow your money here, its a rigged casino and they have rigged the slot machines ( way more than usual ) you will gamble 500 bucks here on the slots and get cleaned out in half hour or less. Thats gambling 1 cent and 160 credits. You might get a small bonus round, they're few and far between. I go once a week to a couple casinos in Edmonton, no issue. I take 500 and I'm there for a good chunk of time, win enough to at least keep playing for a fun evening out, and sometimes, I come home with a bit of money. The same machines in Edmonton that at least give bonus rounds, and pay a little, never hit here. They are breaking rules and regulations and rigging the slot machines, thats the only thing makes sense. The food was fine, and desent value but they have a terrible beer selection, they have no craft beer. This day and age, that makes zero sense. The big take away, though, dont play the slots, you wont get any kind of winnigs that allow you to keep playing for a bit of an evening. They are breaking laws for sure. Keep your money.
