Prospect Park — Attraction in Halton Hills

Prospect is a fantastic park. It's a great place to bring your dog, and the mature trees provide shade for you and your dog. It also has a play area for kids.

My only issue is the number of mosquitoes. Make sure you're wearing bug spray, and your dog has something like Advantix to ward off mosquito bites. Dogs get bit just as much as humans do, so make sure you are both covered with protection. Mosquitoes are a lot more here because of the lake.

The lake is gorgeous, and it's a very active lake with people fishing both from land and boats in the water. I would not let my dog swim in the lake because of the pollution...

They had places to walk into the lake that was nice and sandy and plenty of places to fish. They also had an amazing play park for the kids and a small splash pad if you don't want to go into the water. It has 3 baseball parks so your likely to have an open play place. There is also lots of open grassy areas to run around in and walk you dog. There is also an off the leash dog park that's completely fenced in and it's very large and open. This park and the surroundings are awesome. The park is great for kids, so is the splash pad (YUP) and then the canoe rentals for a decent price and finally the decent fishing spots on the sides. the baseball park is well maintained and nice to play there. the only downside is that there is goose poop all over the grass during summer but what can you do right?
