Battlefield Monument — Attraction in Hamilton

This Battlefield monument is very neat. We came here on a cold snowy day and loved it. Was tricky to climb up the stairs with all the snow but following the hedge trail is a great alternate option.

Once to the top of the stairs, you're met with a pretty awesome view. There is also information about the battle and what everything there means. The monument is over 100 years old and very cool. Wish we could go inside but we'll take just seeing the outside.

Great place to learn about the war of 1812, Issac Brock and other war heroes, and activites, clothes and lifestyle and cooking in 1812. Note- you cannot go in the house in the picture- The Battlefield Fair hosted every year is acually really fun! You can learn and do all sorts of activites there and their is awesome souvenirs and candy. The best souvener there is a guy called Cvric (He sells hats and candy) and the stuff is fairly priced. Small park. Amenities closed during covid. It's busy, but later in the evening most people on the way out and I enjoyed visiting the tower and learning about the battle from various plaques and signage.
