Hidden Valley Park — Attraction in Hamilton

NOTE UPDATE! Unfortunately, the city does not have the $$ right now to pave the road into the south new park, so expect a lot of gravel dust on your car, but most importantly anyone near the parking area will be breathing in a lot of horrible dust from each car that drives down the road. The playground is nice, but your kids will ingest the dust which I'm sure is a health concern. I can't believe the city paved the small parking area near the exit, but ran out of $$ to pave the most important area first!! The city will pave it eventually when they get the $$, but who knows when that will be, so for now it's not the best place. The north park is free of gravel dust, so I suggest you go there with your kids. Sometimes, city planners just don't have common sense! Otherwise it's a great park with a trail leading to the Botanical Garden trail & to have a picnic at the north...

This is an amazing park. I actually go to the free leash dog part. The scene is spectacular you can see the whole bay of lake Ontario. The park is very large the dogs can really stretch their legs. There is a covered area just in case the rain and lots of picnic tables throughout the place. The people are very friendly and kind, you will definitely make a friend or two. Also there is a small portion dedicated for the little doggies to keep them safe away from the large one. Tons of parking and a great place to hike. If you have a dog I suggest you go and visit this place, I think you'll enjoy it and will be coming back just like we are. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
