We recently visited this spot for a family outing, and it turned out to be a surprisingly fun and unique place to explore. One of the highlights is the pedestrian bridge that goes directly over the highway. It might sound simple, but it’s actually very entertaining—when you wave at the cars driving below, many of the drivers wave back or honk their horns. For children, this little interaction feels very exciting and memorable, and honestly even adults find themselves enjoying it. It adds a playful touch to a regular walk and makes the place feel more special.

Beyond the bridge, there is a small park area where you can take a break, sit down, and let the kids run around. The “turtle” shape on the ground (which is only really visible from above) is not particularly interesting when you’re standing there, but the surrounding area more than makes up for it. The trails are clean, safe, and pleasant, making them ideal for both walking and biking.

What we really enjoyed was how green and natural the environment felt. Along the way you’ll find lots of fruit trees and bushes—apples, rosehips, and other plants—which give the walk a refreshing countryside atmosphere even though you’re still close to the city. Everything felt well maintained, peaceful, and family-friendly.

Overall, it’s a lovely spot for a casual day outdoors. Whether you’re with kids who want something interactive and fun, or adults who just want a relaxing stroll or bike ride, this area is worth visiting. We left with smiles and would be happy to return for...

Red Hill Valley Trail is a nice and very very isolated trail near the QEW, but might as well be miles away. The lower trail near the creek is very isolated... the kind of isolated where no one will hear you scream.. lol. its a very nice quiet walk, but its get very eerie when you get further in and no one is around. The trail is not necessarily maintained as its overgrown and clearly some have campfires along the trail. The upper part of the trail is great and there are some nice views to be seen especially near the overpass. Parking was free, but few spots were taken by couple campers that clearly have made the spots their home...
