You guys, you all need to come here, I don’t care what you’re doing, drop everything and go to this restaurant. First impression is a beautiful beachside restaurant that served delicious food that was quality and had substantial quantity. But the food didn’t even matter because our waitress Ayva went above and beyond serving our table. We found out we had the same name which was so cool because I’ve never had a waitress named Ayva before (not that this has to do with the restaurant lol). Seriously can’t say enough good things about her! Attentive to our orders, accommodating to allergies and overall enthusiastic and happy to be there and serving us. It truly made my day getting to know her and I am most definitely coming back as long as I know she’s working that day. We went for lunch and it was beautiful but Ayva warned us it might rain and suggested we move tables before our meal came and thank goodness we did because the rain did come. The wait time was not bad at all for our food and like I said before, delicious. Worth the price for the portions you get. I got the Greek salad and Greek fries which were so so good and I really enjoyed their peach basil sangria!! If I haven’t convinced you to go the restaurant by now then at least call and order take out if you don’t want the beachside view (who doesn’t want a beachside view? It was gorgeous!!)

It was a beautiful day and I'd never been to this restaurant before. Let me add it was super busy and I was doubtful that we would get a seating on the patio outside by the water. The hostess was extremely cheerful and when I made a joke about getting a table outside, she was really understanding and added that if we weren't in a rush we could sit at the bar for a drink while we waited for the table outside. We weren't in a hurry so we sat at the bar for a few drinks. The hostess initially said it might be 30-45m but after 20m we got the SMS that our table was ready. Our server was EXCELLENT!! Never rushed us, never had a problem answering multiple questions (God knows my wife & daughter had them) and was diligent in topping up our water or anything else we asked for. Food was really really really good. Did I say the food was good? We had the delicious Saganaki for an app. My daughter and I each had the roasted leg of lamb. I can't describe how good the lamb was or the sauce mix of eggplant and potatoes it was lying in. My wife had lamb chops with roasted potatoes and a delicious beet salad. Her dish was absolutely delicious as well. We were so full we skipped dessert but the options were as delicious sounding as the mains. Overall, a great place to go with a couple or a large party. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. I highly recommend.

I went here on a recommendation of a friend. We were on our way to Niagara on the Lake and I wanted to stop off here for lunch. We were greeted by friendly hosts who immediately brought us to some patio seats. I absolutely enjoyed the patio seating by the path and water. Our waitress arrived within a minute and provided the menus and water. We ordered Greek salad, calamari, and fish and chips. We probably waited for about 15 minutes and our food arrived nice and hot. The calamari was delicious and crispy as required and not too salty. The accompanying tzatziki sauce is made in house and thicker than other tzatziki sauces almost cream cheese like (in a good way!). The Greek salad was delicious and the fish and chips was also outstanding. When the fish is crispy battered but the fish is delicate inside.. this is the epitome of a fish ‘n chips order. The fries was cooked well but not crispy nor soggy. The ambience inside is lovely and fine dining standards but the patio is where it’s at and reminds me on being on a patio in Mykonos by the water (just not as windy!) I would come back when I want good food but I find the paying almost $80 for lunch for two amd we ordered no drinks.. pricy (hence the knock of one star). Staff is great, food great. Not value for money though. You’re here for the location (water!)

The views from this restaurant are stunning, but to truly appreciate them, you need to sit outside. Unfortunately, the patio has limited seating, so there's often a wait, and of course, it's weather-dependent. I’ve visited twice, and I was fortunate enough to snag a patio seat once. That experience was unforgettable. The menu is well-rounded with a variety of options, and the portion sizes are generous—especially for the starters and appetizers. They're easily double what you'd find in downtown Toronto. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Veg Souvlaki. It was fresh, with an amazing blend of flavors, and the portion size was impressive. I also tried the lychee martini, but found it too sweet for my taste, though it was certainly potent. My friend had the loaded Greek fries, which were enormous and full of flavor. Our server was attentive, checking in with us multiple times, which we really appreciated. One thing I wish they offered is reservations. Coming from Toronto, it’s a bit of a drive, and with the inevitable wait for a patio seat, it would be nice to know you have a spot. All in all, it was a good experience, and I highly recommend Baranga’s. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular.

Awesome scenery and vibe, great view to the lake and Toronto skyline. The management is great! The waitress was awesome, listens and accommodates to your needs, they are not like other places where they check on you every 15 minutes, I find that annoying. They came to me exactly when I needed them intuitively. This place usually gets busy and it has 90 minute limit per table. I did come here solely for the vibe/view and to stay for about 3-4 hours, I did let them know if it was possible and they were reasonable with the solution they gave me, they said that they may relocate me if someone wants patio sitting, but they will not kick me out. The best way to do business is always to listen to the customer and understand their needs and give them their needs if the business can, and they did exactly that even when it was off their standard limit and policy for 90 minute limit. Thank you Barangas, for taking care of my day and give me comfort in the restaurant, I will definitely come back every time I’m in the area. If you’re in Hamilton, you should definitely try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Celebrated an 80th birthday at this longtime Hamilton staple of a restaurant. What is better than being on the beach in the summer?! The restaurant is beautiful. No reservations but due to the amount of tables they have, the wait was very short. For a table of 7, on a holiday Monday, we waited approximately 30 min. While we waited, we had drinks at the outside bar which is stacked with pub height tables, club lounge seating and umbrella tables. I thought the drinks were very pricey for such a small glass (Under 10 would be more reasonable for the size). The peach sangria and margarita was good I have to say but still $14 each. I guess it’s the price you pay to be at the beach? Lunch was okay, lovely displays of food, other guests had mixed reviews from really enjoyed to needing more spices on the food. I had the lamb burger and Greek salad which was more meat and lacked in topping (i was a bit disappointed). Expensive. Service was very well done, our server was lovely and was attentive. He recognized we were celebrating and brought out and lit a candle with a brownie (very delicious). 🌺
