I’ve recently visited, it is a beautiful park situated on the lakefront. The park offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. The park includes a well-maintained trail system that provides visitors with a scenic hike through the park's natural beauty.
One of the things that impressed me the most about the park was the ample parking available. The parking lot was spacious and easily accessible, making it very convenient to park my car and start exploring the park.
The park's trails were well-marked and easy to follow, making it simple to navigate even for first-time visitors. The scenery was breathtaking, with plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Overall, I highly recommend confederation park to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic hike. The park is a great destination for nature lovers and offers an excellent opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The park's ample parking and well-maintained trails make it easy to access and explore, even...
Read moreIt's been several years since i last attended, and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't the best experience. The park was incredibly overcrowded, and the overworked, and understaffed employees were (understandably) stressed out. Some courtesy slipped through the cracks, but for the most part I don't think the bigger issues were their fault.
There wasn't enough policing at some places, like the lazy river, and so it was more crowded than necessary (with riders floating past the checkpoint and going around multiple times) and this also made for extremely long wait times.
There was insufficient seating, or space in the shade to rest, but I think that the park was also over capacity.
Little to no concern was paid to accessibility (I could see no parking spaces even to help my disabled partner, and so we had to park in a field far from the entrance).
There's more, but overall, I think kids might enjoy this place, but I wouldn't expect many...
Read moreNice long lakeside trail. There is a public swimming pool and splash pad adjacent to go carts. A short jaunt east is a nostalgia diner with great rate fish and chips. Attached is an icecream bar. Further is a Hamilton famous restaurant barrengas. I have never been there to eat but I intend to. Further east still is adventure village mini golf and batting cages. And wild water works as well. I do recall that there is a camp ground nearby but not sure if its still running. Plenty of beach head bit much of it is bare rock I wish the city might bring real sand someday. So bring sandals. It hasn't rained lately so enjoy the water while you can. Don't go in after rain for about 3 days. Warning...
