The barber on Locke — Attraction in Hamilton

Honestly, pretty disappointed with Marwan on this one.

To start off, I had booked a cut for 1PM and Marwan didn't get started with me till 1:17PM (I remember checking the time). I understand being a bit past time, but almost 20 minutes is frustrating.

He seemed to be buddies with the guy I was waiting on and took a ton of time finishing his cut.

Following that, he rushed my haircut and finished it in barely 25 minutes.

The frustrating thing is I could see the guy before me got a great cut, but Marwan hurried mine for whatever reason and left me with a weird shape on the crown of my head, and sloppy untrimmed areas on the back.

The next haircut I got, the new barber basically asked me what the heck the last barber was doing.

I know Marwan is capable of cutting hair well, but treating a paying customer with such lack of attention -- especially right after taking so much time on the cut before me -- left a bad taste...

In communicating with the owner, Marwan, regarding my wedding and having them come to the hotel on the day of, I scheduled a test to make sure I liked his work before committing to it for the big day. Marwan stated he would make the reservation for me. I showed up for the appointment, to find out that his return flight from vacation was cancelled (which is fine, stuff happens) and all his appointments were cancelled. I came in yesterday for a fade and haircut for the first time and Issam did a fantastic job. His technique during the cut left me in a sense of awe. I felt like a new man after leaving and will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family. Lastly, it’s very hard to find barbers/hairstylists that can cut/take care of black/curly hair so I’m very appreciative.
