Upon checking in, staff were very polite and were very kind to the kids, who like to venture out while I'm feeding the baby or using the washroom. They gave them some treats from the lobby and sent them back upstairs. We went swimming but I had to take the baby up before the kids and their father because he was getting cranky from the noise. I decided to shower before they came back up and that's where things went totally wrong. I opened the rolling glass shower door to turn on the shower and it came right off the rollers, in an attempt to prevent it from falling and breaking I grabbed the door and tried to put it back onto the rollers, it shattered and left me standing ankle deep in shards of glass. Shards all over my body, including my arms and hands, my head, my feet. I had to carefully shake off my sandal, turn the sink tap on with my foot and rinse it off the shards on my feet so I could stand and walk without cutting myself. That's when I realized every move I made I felt more and more shards cutting me all over. I rinsed my arms and legs and feet and carefully stepped around the glass in the bathroom and got to the telephone beside the bed and called the front desk. They sent up a maid with some wet wipes and bandaids and called 911. The maid was there to take pictures of my injuries and the damage. The guy from front desk came up with the paramedics. I didn't transport to hospital, not taking the injuries as seriously as I should have. They switched rooms and refunded the room cost and got me to sign an incident report and that was it. I spent the night in excruciating pain as I laid on the shards of glass still sticking out of my torso, arms and legs. I scratched my 5 month old son on his torso attempting to calm him before a feeding. And I just felt generally they could have been more accommodating. Like maybe free use of the washers and dryers to get the glass out of My clothes. Or brought breakfast up rather than have me walking down and sitting in pain or trying to serve food from the buffet as people were brushing past and making the shards all dig deeper into my skin. A bath would have been appreciated but the rooms we had didn't have tubs and I felt going in the pool would only cause injuries to other guests and children. Not a word about it the next day on checkout and not a word since. for a month I was in so much pain, when I showered, dressed, walked, when the wind blew, when I had to pick up my son or anything for that matter. It was an awful experience that I felt was not taken seriously as it should have been. Which Is a shame because we stayed there several times and enjoyed...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed here for 2 nights for my sonās baseball play offs at St Catharines. This is the most reasonably priced hotel I found - the rest were around $300 with no breakfast.||The hotel is quite new. ||Reception area was clean and clerks are welcoming. ||Our room was facing south east so it is very bright in the morning. I love natural lights so cant complain. On our windows you can see the CASHBAH (club?) La Luna - Lebanese resto and Scottish Rite Freemasonry. ||You will hear the noise and thumping of the music but eeeh, weāre very tired from being at the park all day so it didnāt bother us much. Just have a noise machine and youāll be just fine. ||Room was spacious. We had plenty of room to walk around. King size bed mattress firmness was perfect! |Washroom was big as well although I wish they have a longer vanity. Not enough space for toiletries. I moved the hair dryer on the other side with the toilet paper cubby and used the other cubby for some of our toiletries. I do wish that the water pressure was stronger. Shower floor was a bit slippery so be cautious. |They did provide 2 pcs of bath towels, 1 face cloth and 2 hand towels. Request some if you needed more. ||Elevators were working fine.||Parking is $15/night but I donāt mind paying that knowing our vehicle is in a safe location. Although I found their parking spaces to be a bit hard to maneuver and the entrance kinda on the narrow side. ||Pool water temp was warm. Loved it! Plenty of pool towels when we were there. ||My husband and daughter used the gym- well equipped. ||Used the laundry for drying a few pieces of baseball uniforms - $3.00 for 50minutes of dryer. ||There is a water dispenser just before you turn for the pool/gym. We used it both days to fill up my sonās water jug. ||Breakfast area was huge! Plenty of chairs to sit around. Adequate offerings - bread, bagels, muffin, make-your-own-waffle, scramble eggs and bacon - on the first say, scramble eggs and sausage patty - the second day, yogurt, fruits, oatmeal and hard boiled egg. You will definitely be able to fill up before heading out for the day. |On our last day we had to leave by 7am and my husband thought to check if the breakfast was ready. He went down around 6:45 and he was able to grab breakfast for us. They were supposed to open at 7 but let my husband grab what we needed. ||Ice machine on our floor. Some floors do not have them.||My family did agree that this wasnāt a bad stay at all. Will definitely consider this hotel if we ever have another tournament ...
