Jack Layton Park — Attraction in Hudson

Really enjoyed my visit with my family. Very beautiful park. My only issue was with Sandy Beach. A nice small beach, clean but A LOT of unleashed dogs everywhere for such a small beach area. I love dogs but it made me very nervous that unknown dogs would just walk right up to my 5 year old child playing in the sand, regardless of breed or size. Other than that though, it is a great park.

I have read that no dogs are allowed now and I disagree with that. I would have had zero issues with a dog run inside of the park, or just enforcing...

This place is beautiful, peaceful and clean. You can walk to the beach from here. The only turn off is that you need a permit to park here, if not, you get a ticket. The residents do not like not having parking when they get here, so they've made it mandatory to have a permit to be able to park. It kind of makes me feel like non residents are not welcomed. BUT there is a parking lot about 3-4 minutes walk away...

This is a beautiful place to walk or even to have a picnic. There is parking available here and a lovely walking track by the water which makes you reach Sandy Beach, this hike was only approx 1km one way and very flat.
