Cute local museum by Mary Frances Chisholm (pictured) who grew up in a coal mining family here, runs this museum and has lots of personal stories to tell. If you’re looking for local colour, this is it.

Truly tremendous tour done by the young man who was guiding my wife and I. The museum is quite old, but it gives it a very authentic feeling (it used to be the train station). He told us so much about the history of Inverness and the miners that we felt like we had lived it ourselves! Highly recommend you check out...
