Having moved to NS a few years ago, I now rarely eat lobster rolls - they always seem to underwhelm me, and for the price (expensive as they always are), I'd rather make them at home (which of course I rarely do). That said, I had a good feeling about The Crab Shack and eecided it was time to try again. We had the Crabster and the Crab Breton'r - these were not your normal lobster rolls - a definite step above! From the perfectly buttered and toasted fresh brioche bun to the mounds of beautifully dressed lobster and snow crab... wow. Service was great, chefs in back were obviously proud of what they have created - great job! Thanks for fulfilling my fantasy lobster roll... I could NOT make this at home!! Lucky to get here on the day before closing for the season... will be back next year! My only comment is the packaging... beautiful presentation, but perhaps you can ask customers whether they want the plastic cover or not. It appears most people eat at the tables by the shack - I would have declined it if I had been asked.

This is about as delicious and authentic as seaside shack fare can be. With only four things on the menu - three seafood rolls and one chowder - they have it nailed. Huge chunks of lobster meat in a perfectly buttery toasty bun. Absolutely phenomenal and a must while you’re in town. Just a stone’s throw down the road from Cabot Links, where we were staying for a golf trip. 🦞🦀

Ordered the “crabster” and it was absolutely phenomenal. Lots of meat, delicious flavour and the bun was perfect. The dill on top was the real winner. Just so yummy. Service was great, food was fresh and came out fast. My sister is saying she’s going for a second. Big fans! (I didn’t have any, but am told the lemonade is also incredible).
