I was very disappointed that this place was closed during my visit as it looks much nicer and much more authentic then the fort in Quebec City, which has been commandeered by the military. They should open it to the public, at the very least on weekends starting late May to accommodate tourists coming from the States, who have different vacation schedules. It's very disappointing that the only other attraction in Levis that's worth visiting, aside from the Dejardins House, is only open for a few weeks in the summer. I found there was tons of information on not only the site, but the people, its purpose and relevance to Canada. This fort and two others were built to defend the south shore of the St Lawrence against such an incursion and were thankfully never required for such an event.
