Underground Escape - Escape Rooms Lethbridge — Attraction in Lethbridge

Wow!!! I was absolutely blown away by this place. My husband and I decided to visit from out of town on a “date night.” We had never been to an escape room before and had no idea what to expect. We were so impressed with our experience here!!! The staff member was fun and friendly, and the place felt safe and welcoming. As a first timer I can say this place absolutely exceeded every expectation I had, and with the unlimited hint system it was customizable in difficulty, making it a really fun game rather than a frustrating exercise in having no idea what to do. I get the sense that if you’re experienced or competitive that this place would meet your needs, too (they had a leaderboard on display and have extra special “reveals” only for people who solve it), but at the same time it was really inviting for first time players. There were lots of surprises in the room (we did “Dr K’s secret bunker”) that really wowed me... I won’t spoil any of them, though! I don’t have other escape rooms to compare it to but I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and will definitely be back! The most fun I’ve had in 2020! (And for the experience, the price was a STEAL!)

UPDATE: Having now played a few different escape rooms in Alberta since writing this review in 2020 I can say that this is the BEST one to date! Glad they gave me the “bug!” Good for first timers and experienced players alike. Five...

Where do I start!!? My partner and I have recently caught the escape room ‘bug’ and have been traveling to cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan to fulfill our addiction, lol. That being said, we have done around 12 escape rooms in the last month and a half, and this is the first time I am writing a review. We were beyond impressed with Underground Escape, and highly recommend to anyone and everyone. The first room we tried was the Egyptian ‘Lost in Time’. The details in this room was extraordinary and truly make you feel as if you were actually in Egypt. We were so impressed with our first room that we ended up booking another one, back to back. Dr. K was our next room, which we both agreed was our favourite escape room yet. We really appreciated the details the staff put into the escape rooms, and taking the time to make the experience feel real and exciting. Went here with a group of 5 for a birthday and it was a blast, the guys were laid back and well organized despite scheduling not lining up perfectly (our fault). They also were very reactive/watchful as we went through our room, and made sure we were getting the best experience possible. Very immersive, and they were great people in general. The icing on the cake, we did hit a snag with a key not falling when it should (common thing, physics and all) but they quickly dove in to fix it and awarded us a bit of extra time which was greatly appreciated and allowed us to finish our room!
