After several different visits, this place still remains at the bottom of our list of places we can eat, if forced. Go through drive-thru and the person at the window usually doesn't care. They have stood there with shirts, hands, faces and sometimes hair, covered in peanuts, condiments and other food. They handle customer food like that. Disgusting. They will take cash payment from you, and after giving you your change, they will go directly to handling your food. No hand washing. No wiping of hands even. Another disgusting practice. We tried going inside one time and watched as they moved food around the place without gloves. One staff member even came back in from a cigarette and didn't wash their hands. We watched another exit the washroom and go directly to handling food, without washing their hands. Both within minutes of each other. I asked why they didn't wash their hands and only got a shrug in return, before they went back to handling food with filthy hands. I asked why they dont wash hands after handling money, got another shrug. I asked why they dont wear gloves when handling food, they again shrugged and said it's not required by law, so they dont have to. We didn't eat our food after witnessing and hearing what we did during this visit. We left and dropped our bags in...
Read moreI would give them less than 1 star if I could. First of all, the prices are ridiculous for what you are getting. An arm and leg for 6 chicken strips and 10 fries. Secondly, the customer service is terrible and make unacceptable mistakes. I ordered this meal, with sweet and sour sauce, and I get a container of gravy. I didn’t know that it was gravy but noticed the unusual container in the bag and ask whether it was sweet and sour sauce. It was answered in the affirmative. When I tried the “sweet and sour” sauce, it turned out to be gravy. I didn’t order gravy. I would never order gravy because I cannot eat dairy. Gravy has dairy. I am ALLERGIC to dairy. Thankfully I survived this (so far), but a lawsuit could always be on the horizon. I reported this to the Dairy Queen and all they could say was, ‘we’ll give you a Sundae and two packs of sweet and sour.’ Wow! How unselfish. Did they not hear the part about the dairy allergy?! Then they offered a dairy-free dilly bar and two packs of sweet and sour. I was almost overcome with emotions of their generosity. $2 worth of freebies or millions of dollars from a lawsuit? Tim Hortons is just going through a multi-million dollar lawsuit over the same issue.
Beware people if you...
Read moreI grew up on the north side of Lethbridge and as a young teen this Dairy Queen was a popular gathering spot in the summer. Back then, it was a small building selling with take-out windows and selling only ice cream. It became a 'Brazier' , selling burgers and including inside seating sometime in the mid sixties. I left Lethbridge in the early 70's and haven't lived there since - but to my great surprise, my son chose Lethbridge as his home. He and his wife live not far from where I grew up. They have discovered this DQ . We went there together and it was a trip down memory lane for me and my son was surprised that it had been my hang out. The food is what you'd expect from any DQ. Consistently...
