The reservoir is the heart of the conservation area, and it truly shines for water-based activities. It’s huge—you can spend a few peaceful hours paddling around the islands, which is my favourite thing to do here. You can rent canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards right by the main dock, which is super convenient if you don't have your own gear. For anglers, it's known for having lots of bass and pike, making it a great spot for a quick fishing trip. The only drawbacks are that in the heat of summer, the water can get quite weedy and a bit shallow in some spots, especially toward the edges. Read more2023 July 4.5★ A long 8 kilometer trail that has a long boarded up portion. Great for walking, hiking (mostly flat) and riding a bike. Sure you can swim, but it's advisable only near the beach area where there's less vegetation growth.
