I am dumbfounded and speechless and still extremely upset by how I was treated by the manager "Kim" at this store on Monday, July 19, 2021. It should have been a simple return of two tank tops. It turned out to be a very upsetting and hurtful experience. I ordered several items online that Orangeville had in stock, for pick up. I wanted to return two tank tops. A very kind salesperson rang my return through their system, but when I tried to tap my card to receive the refund, it said "wrong card" or something to that effect. The kind salesperson tried a few more times and then advised that I must be using a different card than what I paid with. I retrieved the confirmation of payment email and it was the correct card. The manager "Kim" then came over to try and "help". She told the salesperson that she needed glasses (which looked upsetting to the salesperson) and then proceeded to try and process my refund, but received the same message when I tapped my card. Kim advised me that it was an issue with my bank and not their system. I said I didn't think it was an issue with my bank, and could I please have the phone number for customer service/head office. She didn't know the number, so proceeded to flip through a white binder for several minutes trying to locate it while still helping other customers. In the meantime, I googled, got the number, and was on hold with customer service. I explained what was happening to the customer service agent on the phone while I had it on speaker so that Kim could hear as well. Kim then proceeded to tell the customer service agent that she knew how to do a return - she has been working there for four years.........ALL in a VERY rude tone - as she was with me! I was told by Kim that I was "making a scene" several times all while she was shaking her head and muttering rude comments to me under her breath. It was so very, very upsetting. I CANNOT believe Reitmans has someone like this working in one of their stores, let alone in a management position. I have shopped at Reitmans for years, and years. Most of my clothing comes from Reitmans. I will continue to shop at Reitmans if I come across a store when I am in another town, but I will NEVER set foot back in the Orangeville Reitmans if "Kim" continues to work there. The customer service agent was appalled as well, and told me to just leave the store with my items and she would send me a return label so that I could mail my items back. She seemed to be in shock at what she had heard from Kim directed at both myself and herself while on speaker phone. She apologized several times and said this was unacceptable. I haven't been to a Reitman's in years as the last time I was in, the clothing didn't fit me properly, the prices were too high and the styles were old and dowdy with cheap, rough materials. Not the case this time!! Found 9 pieces and LOVE them all! Great fits, prices and fabrics. I asked the woman's name who assisted my girlfriend and I and I have since forgotten unfortunately, but she was hands down one of the best salespeople I have had the pleasure of dealing with in a VERY long time. Kudos! The store was clean, well kept, well organized, lots of sale items and a decent assortment of sizes. It's worth the drive from Wasaga Beach to be treated that well.. we will be...
   Read moreI stepped into a Rietman‘s for the first time in my 40 your life and I was completely disgusted by the staff members that work at this Orangeville location. I walked in and was just cleared up by the two associates that were working today at 4:00 PM I then proceeded to browse around the store for about 10 to 15 minutes and not once did either of the associates say hello to me ask if they could help me or anything. I have never in my life gone into a retail store where the associates did not even bother to say hello I was the only one in the store so therefore there are no excuses for them at all.
