Kelseys Original Roadhouse — Restaurant in Orangeville

We recently visited Kelsey’s in Orangeville, and unfortunately, it was a one-star experience from start to finish. The food didn’t look anything like the photos in the menu — not even close. Service was extremely slow, and oddly, the manager was seating guests instead of a hostess. She also walked by our table several times while delivering food to others, clearly seeing our untouched plates, but never stopped to ask how things were or if we needed anything.

We ordered the Thai lettuce wraps and steak bites, they were okay at best, but the lettuce was browned and the presentation was nothing like the menu. My sister-in-law and I split the crispy mac and cheese, which was honestly the worst mac and cheese I’ve ever had. It was dry, bland, and tasted like processed cheese over deep-fried pasta. When I told the server it was underwhelming, he asked what I didn’t like, then suggested we just add salt.

My husband’s salmon was so overcooked and dry it was basically inedible, he could have used it as a hockey puck. My brother-in-law’s wrap looked decent, but even the kids' chicken fingers were soggy, and the fries were soaked in oil.

I do appreciate that they removed the mac and cheese and salmon from the bill, which was the right thing to do. But unfortunately, it didn’t save the experience. Between the poor service, lack of attention, and low-quality food, this visit missed the mark completely. We...

The WORST lunch i ever had in my life at a restaurant!!!!!!!!! Went to Kelsey's in Orangeville for lunch today at 1pm. It took a while to get a waitress to our table, eventually we ordered our drinks, and meals. It took forever to get our drinks. Apologies were offered. While we were waiting and before our meals were served a child across from our booth vomited all over their table. The staff brought paper towels and a bucket to clean up the table and floors. A bag with the dirty paper towel sit there for a while. The bucket was left sitting with dirty water across our table during the entire meal and It was still there when we left. Nobody, including our waitress wore gloves !!!!!

We ordered Beet and goat cheese salad and a hamburger with loaded fries. The salad was good but the burger was cold so were the loaded fries. My husband complained to the waitress and got new fries, unfortunately they brought the plain fries, so they took them back to the kitchen. Eventually he got the loaded fries. We speculate that our meals sat ready while our waitress was busy cleaning the mess, hence everything got cold. This was an awful experience We will NEVER go back to this place, nor our friends who were with us. I plan to call and speak to the manager and if possible to the owner of that franchise. We were in Orangeville for the day for the Mac & Cheese/Poutine festival unfortunately there was a torrential rain fall and had to cut that visit short (didn't get any food) So we stopped at your restaurant for late lunch/early dinner. Right off the bat our waitress seemed disinterested to serve us, we ordered drinks and an appetizer (nachos) so those came out but we didn't have cutlery, napkins or little plates on our table so eating the nacho's like that was interesting until we flagged her down. Our mains arrived with no issue until we requested to have our bill split according to what we ordered when we were done she came back with our bills and my bill had the entire nacho's price on it (plus extra beef) most restaurants understand when you say split bill the appetizer price is also split - then after i paid i realized that on my bill it was my friends meal, and on her bill it was my meal now I guess lucky for us price point wise it was only off by a couple of dollars but when we pointed it out she immediately went to her own defense that it's basically the same price so no big deal - but it was a big deal for me because i ended up with the much higher bill and there was no apology for the screw up.
