Place Dupuis — Attraction in Montreal

🚫 DO NOT GO TO PLACE DUPUIS – THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING AND DANGEROUS 🚫

My fiancée and I were at the Place Dupuis food court when she went to use the women’s bathroom. She came back visibly shaken, telling me there was a camera pointed directly at her while she was using the toilet, and it even appeared to be moving in her direction.

I didn’t want to believe it until I went into the men’s bathroom myself — and sure enough, there was a giant camera on the ceiling aimed straight at the urinals. Yes, you read that right — a camera in the damn bathroom, pointed right at where men are exposed.

I immediately reported it to a security guard who took me to the so-called “head of security”, who proceeded to laugh when I brought it up. I told him this was completely illegal and a violation of provincial and federal laws, and this creep had the audacity to say he was “aloud to watch” (his exact words), then smacked his hand on my shoulder and walked off smiling.

This isn’t just negligence — it’s criminal, perverted, and horrifying. That man should be investigated, fired, and charged, and Place Dupuis needs to be shut down or boycotted until this is dealt with. If you care about your safety, privacy, or basic human decency — STAY AWAY from this place....

Wow! This shopping mall is huge! This place is also clean and relaxing. I came here just to walk around and trying to find a restroom / washroom and I find this place great! I stayed around the foodcourt area and bought some bubble tea! This is some breakdowns about my likes and dislikes: ... Likes: Pretty clean and convenient shopping mall. Huge mall. Near metro Berri Uqam. It's just one block away. There's SAAQ nearby so you can renew your driver's license. Staples or bureau en gros is here! Restaurants. Coffe shops and drinks. Huge food court. Pharmacy. 9 Supermarket. ATM machines. Wifi is available. It's free. Near the library. Checkout the charging station for smartphones! ... Dislikes: A lot of homeless around the place. I went there and it is very noticable. They are harmless when I visited there tho. Closes early in some days. I was resting and fell asleep in a sofa from the foodcourt and a police woke me up. WiFi so over-filtered as to be practically unusable and overly zealous, often disrespectful security personnel outfitted in tactical gear. There are surprisingly few affordable choices in the Food Court for the neighborhood clientele. Security agents can often be seen leaning when they aren't congregating in a cluster chatting, while the Food Court is usually so full of loiterers that it can be difficult to find seating. Once seated, it is commonplace for itinerants to approach tables and beg. Frequent suspicious transactions between itinerants and others can be witnessed at the entrance near the hotel.
