I went here for breakfast this morning. I was not impressed with the service.
The waitress brought me coffee. She didn't leave any cream or milk and disappeared, so I ended up having to go to another table to get some. She didn't bring a spoon, so I ended up stirring my coffee with a butter knife. She did not offer water which would have been appreciated.
There is not a lot on the menu that I can eat because I'm vegetarian. When the waitress came to take my order, I asked if I could order the classic breakfast. I told her that she could charge me for the 1 meat but that I would like some fruit in it's place (since rhere's no option for a classic breakfast without meat.
The breakfast says that toast, potatoes and tomatoes are included in the price. The waitress dropped a plate in front of me that had two eggs on one side of the plate, a space, and a pile of fruit on the other side. I asked her were my potatoes and tomatoes were. She tells me that you get either potatoes or fruit. I ask her to see the menu again. She reads it and brings me a side plate with potatoes. She acts like I'm troubling her. I ask for ketchup. She hands me an almost empty bottle of ketchup. It's spattering everywhere since there's almost none left. My plate looks like a crime scene. She doesn't offer me a different bottle.
When I get my bill, I see she has charged me a higher price. She doesn't tell me this before or during the transaction.
I left this woman a 15% tip because I have fibromyalgia, and I didn't have the energy to have a dispute about basic customer service skills.
I went to the washroom after paying my bill. The toilets in the mobility reduced bathroom was clogged. The toilet paper was disintegrating in the toilet, so I have a feeling it's been clogged for awhile which means anyone with a disability can't go to the bathroom in this restaurant. The bathrooms also smell like mold.
Thankfully there is a decent selection of breakfast restaurants in the neighbourhood. There are other options.
The waitress who served me had long dark hair and a mole...
Read moreWorst breakfast I had in ten years. I arrived with a friend from out of town at 11 AM in a Saturday morning, there was only one person serving, an old lady, a younger lady was supposed to come in I guess but she was late, and the old lady was running around. When we arrived we were not informed that they were short staffed ! For 15 minutes she didn't come to talk with us, and she took the order of a group of 3 that arrived after us, before taking our order ! I thought it would have been first come first served but I guess we weren't in her normal serving area. Then finally we ordered, I ordered the bacon crispy with my plate, and a side of beans. The bacon didn't arrive crispy as I asked and the beans were not hot, as they were supposed to be served. Because the bacon wasn't crispy I wasn't able to eat it and the half warm beans cut off my appetite. I ate two eggs and then I picked some fruits from my friend's fruit bowl. Something didn't feel right. 24h later me and my friend were hit with a bad smelling diarrhea, which would suggest that it must have been something we ate together and breakfast at that restaurant was the only thing we ate together. I am sorry Tutty Frutti but I am not going back ever to the Place...
Read moreVery disappointed in this place. My daughter just went there on a class trip. The restaurant was informed beforehand that my daughter has Celiac and has to adhere to a strict gluten free diet where gluten containing items must not come into contact with her food. She also again mentioned this to the waiter when ordering a breakfast omelette. After receiving her order and taking two bites she became nervous that there may have been cross contamination so she asked the waiter if other gluten containing items were cooked on the same surfaces/handled with the same utensils. She was told yes, everything is cooked together without any separation provisions made. Needless to say she did not finish her meal and was promised a gluten free toast with butter as a replacement (for an expensive omelette!). Nothing was ever given so she was not only out the money paid for a meal she could not eat but also put in danger by being served something that was clearly communicated she cannot eat without serious consequences. Total...
