wrote this last week - no response at all from them - guess they do not care about clients or maybe because I wrote it in english instead of french
Last Saturday December 3rd 2022 I with a bunch of friends went to see the play The Sound Of Music - the english one as the songs are english and we do not like translation. If French we go French etc. The play was very good, however the experience of the St Denis theatre was horrible. The seats are so bad I kept slipping off the edge. It was so old and torn and disgusting. I had a sore back for 2 days., I cannot believe that a theatre so well known in Montreal would have seats that look like they and the theatre should be destroyed. At the price of tickets I would expect a proper straight seat where by i do not need to sit on my coat to be able to try and watch a show. This was the same prior to covid and I would have thought you would be serving your clients better than these dilapidated seats. My second comment is this was not a rock show but a play. I know you care about making money but really chips should not be sold at intermission to hear crunching and bags during the second half of the show and prevented us from enjoying the second half. because you heard the bags better than the show. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a show at this price and my friends and I have decided that until you have fixed your horrible seating and care about the clients paying good money to see a show in comfort and not munching as all proper theatres will do we will avoid all future shows.and will not recommend the theatre until then. sadly your customer service couldn't even tell when you plan on fixing this as opposed to selling expensive tickets for horrible broken seats - how sad what you have left this once great theatre to detriote like this which now looks like the streets of montreal - broken full of holes worn and no repairs.

Read moreLasting Impressions has an amazing impact on your senses, sight and sound. The colors are vivid and the sound at the right volume and pitch so you’re fully immersed in La Belle Epoque and the Impressionalist period. We sat at Table 301, slightly back, I think the best seats in the house. Pick the second row of the 200’s, or the first row of the 300’s for best viewing. Second row 300’s was good too. The main screen that projects the 3D effect is amazing; it's very big, and you feel ‘right in the scene‘. Sights and sound just wrap around you, The projections to the right and left of the stage, help create the immersive effect of putting you ‘in the picture’. The sound track was spot on, and flowed effortlessly - keep the mini program, you’ll be asking about the songs later. 🙂 The audience was quite still and focused throughout. You’ll see, especially in the second part with full 3D, no one was even touching their wine glass, all eyes and ears were glued to the show. Highly recommend, and the venue at Theatre St-Denis was perfect, to be held in this smaller, more intimate venue. Staff are very helpful and polite. Highly Recommend this show, and kudos to Theatre St-Denis! And take in a later show.. lots of eateries and pubs on St Denis for the...
Read moreLasting Impressions was fantastic, I recommend not sitting in the front row like we did (table 121) if you don't want a sore neck, I had to look up the whole time but it was manageable, the main screen that projects the 3D effect is amazing, it's very big, so again I recommend sitting further back, as the numbers on the tables increase, you are further away from the main screen. There are also projections to the right and left of the stage, those are not 3D, they provide a nice visual aid and effect of the artists work. The first 30 minutes are introductions of the artists and their biography, then break for 15 min where you can order off the menu, they have bar as well. The last 50 min is the amazing 3D experience, really breath taking. The sound track gave me goose bumps, they even had original score for the Van Gogh pieces. My 13 yr old was the youngest one there, I do not recommend for kids, she started tuning out and fidgeting at one point. Everyone is very quiet and concentrated so do not bring young ones there. I recommend arriving 20 min earlier to get settled and buy...
