Incredible food accompanied by an incredible atmosphere. As soon as you walk into the cafe, you sense this old school styled kind of welcoming coffee shop. Ranging from chalk written on a small stand board showcasing the menu specials, from a glass display displaying all of the available food items they serve. Everything look so fresh, and well done. What surprised me most was that they had hot tea for breakfast. I said oh what the heck and decided to give it a try. I had no regrets trying the tea. It was simply calming and soothing. Especially during the cold initial moments in the morning. You know, that cool morning breeze, paired with hot chamomile tea, pairs perfectly.
We ordered the Nutella covered crepes, breakfast platter with fruits, and the fresh salmon sandwich.
A few things I can comment on: The presentation was clean. The ingredients were fresh. The bagel? Deliciously sesame.
The owners were even kind enough to offer free hot sauce to place on top of the eggs on the breakfast platter. The cups for the water were exquisitely elegant. They are smaller than usual and easy going on the eyes.
Locally owned and small corner shop on an Old Montreal street, this place is perfect for Canadian locals, and American visitors. It does not seem like much since it is a small coffee shop, however do not judge a book by its cover! What this store has to offer is distinguishly refreshing food. Not to mention the amazing soothing...
Read moreCafé Lulu truly exceeded our expectations and became one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a friendly and relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, and you could tell they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
The food was absolutely fantastic – beautifully presented and even better tasting. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. I personally couldn’t get enough of the Nutella-Fraises Crêpes – they were rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced with the fresh strawberries. Definitely a must-try if you have a sweet tooth like me!
The atmosphere of the café was just as impressive – cozy, stylish, and filled with natural light. It had a welcoming charm that made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee and a treat, Café Lulu offers a fantastic experience all around.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Montreal – we’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place I wish we could take it home with us from our vacation my wife and I. This is a lovely little cafe in the heart of Montreal on Saint Catherine's Street which is a dedicated walking thoroughfare only for pedestrians. Cafe Lulu is owned by three brothers and we were very happy to find all of them very friendly and communicative and their menu had very good choices and they make some very wonderful omelettes and Crepes. Wish we had had more time to sample some of their fresh salads of different kinds in the refrigerated case. You had a choice of indoor seating as well as outdoor Bistro seating outside a very European style Cafe on the street. And of course their prices were very reasonable. Not necessarily low but not high either. Would very much recommend this Cafe for breakfast and cappuccino to anyone . Simple and tasty food consistently good in a very friendly atmosphere! My wife and I felt like we were part of the family after we had eaten there three or four times. We will miss our new friendships that we established in Montreal and Cafe Lulu was certainly a part of...
