So happy to have finally gotten the chance to check this off my bucket list!!
I booked for 4pm on a Sunday, so it was definitely less packed than usual.
There were 6 French bulldogs and they were the CUTEST!!
Itâs an hour and 15 minute experience and itâs divided into two parts. The first 30 ish minutes is dedicated to the yoga where the puppies run around, then the rest of the time is dedicated to sitting with the puppies, taking pictures and relaxing. I will take points off because I felt as though there shouldâve been more puppies.
It is inevitable that puppies are unpredictable and they may not gravitate towards you. During the yoga, the puppies werenât super responsive to me, but afterwards I was lucky enough to have them fall in love with the drawstrings on my pants, and one of them fell asleep on me!!
This is totally out of control of the workers or truly anyone, but during our session all the puppies swarmed around one person for the majority of it, which wasnât necessarily ideal. I was lucky enough for them to gravitate towards me by the end, but for the majority of the second part of the class, most of the people were just sitting on the yoga mats with no puppies, as one person was in a corner with all of them. I would definitely advise the workers to realize this and to just recommend that the person move to the middle of the room so the other guests are more comfortable grabbing the puppies. This person was almost tucked away with all of them, so the others did not feel inclined to try and hold any. Again, totally out of everyoneâs control!! I just felt it couldâve been more avoided.
Overall, super well organized. Loved the yoga instructor, and the puppies were...
Read moreWe did not have a pleasant experience. The group was too big approx 18 people for only 6 puppies. The puppies were awesome but we did not get any time with them. Out of 75 minutes perhaps 8-10 at the most. The hosts did not ensure that everyone had a turn with the dogs. There are always some in a group that keep the puppies .. and that being said itâs up to the monitors to see that itâs fair .. Even after mentioning it twice they only said Iâm sorry you did not enjoy ur experience. They made no effort to divide the time. Perhaps a smaller group or more puppies could be a solution .. .. I would not recommend this especially for the...
Read moreHi - I would like to respectfully bring to your attn (if you don't already know), that by calling your organization "puppy yoga" you are practicing cultural appropriation. This is not yoga. You are attempting to impart hatha yoga (aka raja yoga) , the limb of yoga practice that includes asanas. You are stripping asanas from their roots and spiritual significance and teaching them as empty exercises, commercializing it and charging lots of money for it.
What you're promoting can be loosely named "exercises w puppies". This...
