This is the worst organized event that I’ve ever purchased tickets for. I purchased Sasha Colby tickets for tonight on ticketmaster for 119$, we were so excited that we bought 2 meet and greet vip packages for 105$ each…total spent on tonight 329$. We are driving in from Ottawa so a little over 2 hrs to get to the venue. I checked emails including junk mail constantly to see if anything came in telling us what time to be at the meet and greet. Nothing ever came. I called the venue 2 days before on Wednesday and asked the agent what time the meet and greet is at, they told me « you’ll get an email ». I wait, and still no email. I call back the day before the event on Thursday and say I still haven’t gotten an email and the event is tomorrow the agent says « the email should be there by tomorrow morning if not call us back » I said tomorrow is a holiday, Good Friday, will the phone lines be open tomorrow? I’m told « yes of course ». Here we are the day of the event, still no email saying what time the meet and greet is at. I call the phone line, and the message says they are closed today. Perfect. I email the event, I get an automated message. I find them on Instagram, I get an automated message. I call ticketmaster and I’m told « most meet and greets are an hour before the event, so make sure you are there for 7pm ». So we get ready for the event, and leave our place at 4:40 to make sure we are a bit early. I look at my phone and see I finally have a response email from the event saying that the meet and greet is at SIX PM!!!!! And that check in for meet and greet is at 5:30 PM!!!! Now no amount of driving fast is going to make us get from Ottawa to Montreal in an hour or less. I email the event back and say this is unacceptable to receive this info right before the event, and that I have called multiple times. I called Ticketmaster and they said they can’t issue a refund only the event can!!! 210$ down the drain!! SCAM ARTISTS!!! NEVER book through ticketmaster and never book a Spectra Eventco Live Nation event for Theatre Beanfield!!!...
Read moreThe concert was great, as expected. But it was extremely disappointing the amount of people who smoked weed and cigarettes in the venue, multiple times, throughout the concert. One group in particular smoked multiple times and when it reached the end of the event, they threw their LIT cigarettes INTO THE CROWD. The smoke and the smell were obvious, everyone could notice, but NONE of the security agents bothered to approach these groups, never looked at the crown. Throwing a LIT cigarettes into the crowd was incredibly dangerous, someone's clothes or hair could have been caught on fire, someone could have been seriously hurt, and nothing was done from beginning to end. Really disappointed that the security people on shift that night couldn't be bothered to...
Read moreLocation: In the Southwest, east of Atwater. Street parking is available but metered, though you can likely find a spot on one of the residential streets. Check the zoning. You can also walk from the Lionel-Groulx station.
The place/ the goods: Small and intimate venue where you'll be hard pressed NOT to have a great view of the stage. The downstairs section is standing room only, while upstairs, there are seats. On the night that I went, the upstairs was closed but this wasn't a problem - I stood against the rail right behind the sound board. Great acoustics and great show.
Price point: Since these are smaller shows, the tickets are usually cheaper. In this case, The Barr Brothers show was $46 tax in.
