Dessert Coréen Crofre — Restaurant in Montreal

2.5 star, it’s not bad but I would only try once. Ordered the banana crème brûlée croffle and matcha latte. I would say the portion is slightly big, 2 people can share one croffle if you have small appetite.

I hate that the croffle and the cream taste nothing. Although the topping is amazing, which is caramel and banana, powdered with lots of cinnamon, and some chocolate chips. But the sugar rush from the topping couldn’t cover the fact that the cream and the croffle have zero flavour and doesn’t bring joy.

I think they can improve the product in making the bread more buttery and the cream more milky. After all, the base of their product is the croffle instead of the toppings, overall quite disappointing.

The matcha latte is pure hate, I was expecting a freshly made latte, but it comes in a bottle. It tastes like grass juice and milk with lots of water and sugar… I decided not to finish it and cut the calories…not...

The staff was really nice. The place is small, very cozy and welcoming. I was surprised with the variety of toppings. In Korea, they didn't have as many options for toppings, so this is a good difference. We had a matcha latte and a mango latte. Which were both super delicious. The croffles were tasty. I would definitely come back for some more. Maybe try a new flavour or buy the same one I had.

Oreo crofre: It was good but too sweet. At least, compared to the tiramisu. If you like oreos you won't be disappointed with this choice.

Tiramisu: Perfect. Melts in your mouth. Inviting feeling. Unexpected coffee taste that is not overbearing. The cream was delicious, good in temperature and it melts in your mouth. Overall perfect balance. It's the most popular choice for a reason.

But their concept is insane!

Hear me out: they take a croissant dough and they bake it in a waffle grill which makes a croffle or a croffre in french.

You get all the fluffiness of the croissant and the crisp from the waffle.

They have a plethora of different toppings. It’s the classic with powdered sugar that does it for me!

Don’t expect to hang out there for along time or for a date, it’s not a cozy ambiance. Except maybe during the summer where they have a cute little terrasse 🤩
