Salon Quartz — Attraction in Montreal

UPDATE AT BOTTOM. So, I came to this salon due to a recommendation of another salon because I wanted a professional cut on my natural hair. I called and I made sure that they didn’t wet the hair because you shoudnt do that and they said they do not. Great! I get there and they actually brushed it a lot which I was surprised with... we discussed that I would like give bangs a try and the length would be below my eyebrows, and before cutting it, the hairdresser brushed them out and cut them above my eyebrows (make it make sense). I get home, put my products in, and let’s just say I was pretty shocked just how messed up they were. Do not get me wrong!! The whole haircut turned out amazinnggg. I would go back for it for sure. But the bangs are completely messed up. They stick right up, or either go straight out.... I DMed the salon on insta and told me that yes they were a little short, luckily they would grow out in 4 weeks! That’s.. great! Thank you? Just... I recommend going there for a haircut, but think about maybe cutting the bangs yourself or don’t get some.

SO after some consideration and needing to live with my whole forehead visible for about three months because it was cut so short. I definitely won’t be coming her again. I said I thought the haircut was nice because I was happy to get one (only one I’ve professionally had in years) but I look back on the pictures and my god was it bad. This is an amazing salon. As someone who's had really bad experiences with women braiding my hair, this place has been so refreshing. Reina (the owner) is sweet and super talented. She's very inspiring, she's young and has such a beautiful business. I've done my braids twice and always left super satisfied. She's the quickest braider i've had and the result is always beautiful. I've also got a great haircut by Reina. Bonus point because I always have great conversations with her!

My husband got braids and a lineup and loved his experience. He's never looked this good. Lol! My mom who has straight hair has also been twice and loves this place. Basically you can't go wrong. Curly, straight, wavy hair, this place is for you.

I don’t ever leave reviews, but this experience left me truly heartbroken. I booked with Chantal instead of my regular stylist because I’d heard great things on tiktok, and I left in tears. I asked for more layers and showed a photo, instead, I got a sort of mullet with short choppy pieces in the front and long in the back. It’s nothing like what I wanted, this has triggered my depression and I’ve been hiding my hair ever since. I also booked a curl definition along side the haircut about my natural waves and got no real help just a dismissive comment that they were probably gone because of bleaching. I paid $150 (inclu tip) for this, and I honestly feel ripped off. I won’t be back, and I truly hope others think twice before...
