Right now there are Scotch broom and Camas blooming; the yellow and purple give a real Easter feel! My favorite spot is a little park bench that you'll find if you walk up to the top where the stone pyramid is, then down the other side of the hill. There is a gnarly Arbutus tree right next to it, and a fantastic view! See if you can find it! There are several ways up and down Gonzales Hill including a set of steps that go off of Denison, a set of steps that lead from the observatory down to King George Terrace, and one can take Fairfield Place and then the small path that leads up to the park.
