Big Ben Ski Centre — Attraction in Ontario

Our kids went fir their first lesson on Thursday night. From the moment we got there we were greeted with friendly faces and helpful staff. Our kids had never been on skis before. Jacob was their instructor and I have nothing but great things to say. He was kind and patient and he was encouraging. Our oldest caught on right away and was skiing alone. We went back yesterday with just day passes and spent a total of 4 hours at Big Ben. My husband went with our youngest for a couple of runs and within the first 30 minutes both kids were zooming around in their own having a blast. Jacob was there and helped our youngest to get up a few times when he was passing by. My niece and nephew had a lesson with Justin who was also nothing short of awesome! The man operating the lift is very observant to see who is getting on and what level they are at (so he either stops it or lets it keep going). He came out to give kids (including mine and my nephew) tips on how to make it easier to hold onto the lift as it brings you up.

Fantastic place for kids (and adults) to learn to ski/snowboard. And a place where they can look forward to visiting over and over again even as they get older.

We were looking for a place to take our 3 kids to ski that was near our lake camp in the Adirondacks. Big Ben came up on our search. We were skeptical at first....the low cost seemed too good to be true and then add to that free loaner gear we couldn't believe it! We drove almost 2 hours to get there and it was well worth it! The slopes are perfect for a family with different levels of skiers (beginner to advanced) and the jumps and ramps kept my boys happy for hours. The staff was as absolutely amazing! I had a fantastic experience at Big ben's The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made it feel like a home away from home. The slopes were well-maintained, and while it’s a smaller resort, there was a variety of trails for all skill levels. The lack of crowds compared to larger resorts was a huge bonus—it felt like I had the mountain to myself at times! Everything was so cheap too!
