I personally love Greenway park it is the dog park that I take Stella (my 7 month old German shepard) to all the time. The area is nice being right beside the Thames river and right beside a water processing plant. The scenery is nice but a tiny bit soured by the chimney pumping out smoke all the time. The people are friendly and there are always dogs at the park, if you want to go there during the most active times to get your dogs socialized I recommend going around 3-4 pm. Surprisingly, during Covid the park is still open which is a relief since without it Stella would destroy the house. The people are also good at keeping good social distance around the park. The park itself is around the size of a football field with trees around the sides of the park and a large open area by the entrance. The park also has a mini train (very small) around the back of the park for anyone to use and to get away from all the action. One inconvenience with the park is the placements of the trash bins for the dogs poop. They are located on either ends of the park with nothing close to the side entrance and not the "main entrance" (I call it the main entrance since it is directly opposite to a large parking lot.). This makes it hard to throw out their garbage since most of the times the dogs play close to the entrance, in the big open area. In summary, I enjoy spending time at the park with my puppy and though there are minor inconveniences it will not stop me or my dog from having fun there. It is a great place to relax and socialize for you and your dogs.
In the picture of the German Shepards, the small one is Stella and the large one is called Nova. Unfortunately, I forgot the husky's name but got a picture of him a couple weeks ago looking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Greenway because of the open space where you could watch your dog wherever they are. The new division of small dog and large dog areas is great because it allows both to roam freely without hanging around the fences barking at each other or experiencing high levels of anxiety. The park has seating, bags if you forget to bring yours, and bowls for water. People are usually considerate and place their bags in the Moloks located on each side of the big park and at the entrance for the small dog area. The biggest downside is accessibility in the winter as it gets wet, muddy, and icy but nothing that rubber boots can't help with; I feel like the city could and should do more to make sure that public spaces are accessible for people using...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love this dog park! One of our favourites in London! There are two separate areas (one for smaller dogs and the other for larger breeds). They have a wooded area along the back that has a walking path which provides some shaded area to walk through.
The sewage plant right beside can be smelly at times....not the best location from that standpoint....but itās not too bad overall.
It could be made better if there were fountains for the dogs as there are water bowls scattered throughout the park, but no area to fill up water (other than near the childrenās park/bathrooms...
