Palmer Park is an absolute gem of a recreational space. Nestled in the heart of the city, it offers a perfect escape from the urban hustle and bustle. The park's lush greenery, well-maintained trails, and scenic ponds create a serene atmosphere that's ideal for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful picnic.

One of the standout features of Palmer Park is its diversity of activities. Whether you're into hiking, biking, or simply lounging in the shade, there's something for everyone here. The extensive trail system winds through wooded areas and open fields, making it a fantastic spot for nature enthusiasts. Dog owners will appreciate the designated dog park, which is spacious and well-kept.

For families, Palmer Park boasts a fantastic playground area for kids, complete with swings and slides. The park also hosts community events and outdoor concerts, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Plus, the panoramic views of the city skyline from certain points within the park are truly breathtaking, especially during sunset.

The park's cleanliness and accessibility are commendable, and the addition of well-maintained restroom facilities is a nice touch. However, parking can be a bit challenging during peak times, so arriving early is advisable.

In summary, Palmer Park is a fantastic urban oasis that offers a wide range of activities and natural beauty. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this park has it all. It's a must-visit destination for both residents and visitors looking to experience the outdoors in the heart...

Not sure why there are mini parks located within that same park. You can easily walk the whole park. Nice little walk. Lake close to the shore pretty dirty and polluted but if you don’t walk close you don’t see that and the view is still very nice and pleasant.

Dog friendly. Lot of dogs on a leash. Nice playground for kids to have fun and spend energy.

There is some space in the grass if you wish to do some picnic. Looks clean and well maintained.

Depending if you decide walking on the grass further after the fitness outdoor area? It can be lightly muddy after a rainy day.

Construction site type washrooms available. Some were pretty big compared to the normal ones. And luckily we’re not too dirty (pretty rare for this kind of washrooms).

Free parking access the streets. Parallel type parking. There is also a Municipal Green P parking.

A lot of bakeries and coffee shops in the Main Street getting down...

Great park, lots of fun for everyone. It is located on Water St. right at the end of Queen St. in Port Perry. Which means it is right next to the downtown shops and restaurants. Water Street also has several pubs and fast food restaurants, including Square Boy, Wendy's and Tim Hortons. The park itself is very nice. It has a splash pad and we'll kept playground equipment. There is a gazebo, and lots of lawn space, with trees for shade. There are often events, such as Ribfest or Craft Beer Festival, taking place at the park. It is right beside the marina, and one of the trails in Port Perry runs through the park right along the water. Also, there is a baseball diamond right beside the park, and tennis courts beside that. The only real negative is that the washroom facilities consist of several port-a-potties, however if you are visiting one of the nearby restaurants, then you can use the...

This park is located just in the core of Port Perry Downtown surrounded by beautiful Scugog lakefront. Enough space for picnic, you can carry your summer chairs and table. Lot of activities for kids including play area and splash pads. Washrooms are located near Tennis club. You can visit the near by shops and enjoy the patios. Pizza Pizza is just close to the park. Dont miss the handcrafted icecream shop right infront of the park. Lot of varieties and flavours, iced coffee, gelatos. Pleanty of parking available. We reached there around 3 pm after visiting the lavender farm and still could find the spot on busy weekend. You can rent kayak, pontoons and boats at this place. You have to book in advance from their website. People are very humble and kind.

Palmer park has been on my list to try for a while now. The park looks lovely- a quaint small town park that’s buzzing with excitement. Right opposite is an ice cream place that’s super popular! There’s a ton of muskoka chairs to relax and look at the lake. The children’s area was packed- every picnic table, bench and even the grass was filled with people on a weekend. The playground really loved upto it’s hype. There’s a splash pad that’s sensory controlled. So I love that water isn’t wasted. The children’s structures had a ship themed play area. A tower/lookout, some swings, a really nice zip line, a merry go around concept and really so much more. It definitely caters to all ages beautifully. Definitely worth the drive to Port Perry.

Cute park by lake Scugog in Port Perry, right next to the marina. We got there around 6pm, it was busy but people attempted to their distance. However on the pier where everyone was fishing. It was challenging to keep a distance since it's not very narrow. We caught 4 fish, some other people who were there longer caught around 19 sun fish! The park itself had a lot of families, my family of 10 was able to find a spot comfortably without other groups being too close. We got lucky and found two parking spots in the main lot, however there was alot of street parking available too.
