Fletcher Wildlife Garden is hands down my favorite escape in the city. Itâs a tranquil haven where, for a moment, you can forget youâre in the heart of an urban landscape. This place is nothing short of extraordinary, offering a rich tapestry of nature that brings you face-to-face with butterflies dancing in the breeze, songbirds serenading you from the trees, and, best of all, the majestic owls that make this place feel truly magical.
For those who use walkers or prefer a slower pace, this garden is a perfect fit. The accessible paths allow you to take in the beauty at your own speed, without rushing. And with well-placed signs reminding dog owners to keep their pets leashed, itâs an ideal sanctuary for both wildlife and visitors alike.
If youâre seeking a peaceful day surrounded by natureâs finest, Fletcher Wildlife Garden is the perfect place to spend your time. Itâs not just a visit, itâs...

There is metered $ parking not too far away though on the agricultural museum parking lot across the street. Dogs are allowed but must be kept...
Read moreAmazing place for relaxing, meditation, bird and butterfly watching. I've been visiting it for many years. The flowers in the garden are blooming all summer attracting butterflies like the monarch and the giant swallowtail. The birds are spoiled with a generous feeder but also with several berry trees. Over the years I could see here: hummingbirds, orioles, vireos, grosbeaks, finches, grackles, redwings, waxwings, robins, flicker, downy and hairy woodpeckers, chickadees, cardinals, phoebes and many more. Rabbits and squirrels too. There is always something interesting happening there. Many thanks to the people...
