Hi T — Restaurant in Ottawa

The whole experience was extremely disappointing—especially after tipping in advance.

Ordered a Taro ball & sago dessert, a strawberry-banana croffle, and a fruit tea. We tipped 15% upfront when paying at the counter.

We were the only customers waiting in the store the entire time. After sitting for 15 minutes with no food or drink—not even the tea—I rang the bell twice. No one came out. I ended up calling the store on the phone, and ONLY when the employee answered did I yell, “it’s me calling!” for him to come out of the kitchen.

When I asked about the order, he said he was going to bring everything together once the croffle was done. At no point during ordering did he ask if we wanted the tea first, so we didn’t even have drinks to start with.

The tea finally came 17 minutes after ordering (I have a timestamp screenshot). We ordered a LARGE but received a MEDIUM. I had to go back to the counter and asking him to correct the item.

Five minutes later, the taro ball dessert and croffle arrived. Half of the taro ball dessert was warm, even though I specifically asked if it was served cold. The croffle had frozen strawberries on top.

We were the only ones waiting the entire time, yet every single item was poorly prepared. The whole experience was extremely disappointing—especially after tipping in advance. Definitely not worth the wait...

Yay! I absolutely love this bubble tea spot! They have the best boba and an amazing variety of other toppings at their DIY topping bar. It’s so fun to customize your drink exactly how you want it, with all the different jellies, popping boba, and unique add-ons. Finally, there’s bubble tea in the neighborhood, and I couldn’t be happier!

The drinks are not only delicious but also super fresh. You can tell they put thought into the quality of their ingredients, from the teas to the milk options and the syrups. They even have non-dairy alternatives, which is such a plus for anyone with dietary restrictions.

The atmosphere is another highlight—it’s so cute and cozy! The décor is modern and colorful, with plenty of Instagram-worthy spots to snap a photo. It’s the kind of place where you want to hang out with friends, work on your laptop, or just relax with a delicious drink.

The che was pleasant but a little bit sweet. Wish they added a little bit of ice for it to be more refreshing and counteract the sweetness. The atmosphere and decoration was very pretty.

Our biggest problem is the service. We were a group of four and we all ordered different dishes. They advised that it would take a few minutes for us to get our order, however we received our first 2 within 10 minutes and then they brought out the 3rd one 15 additional minutes later (in total it has been 25 minutes so far). They began having more customers and serving those customers before receiving our fourth order. As we went up to confront them, they advised our last dish was out of order.

If we didn’t bring this up, they would of kept us waiting for who knows how long. We then ordered another where it took another 10 minutes to come out and this was after every other customer was served. Our last dish came out after 45 minutes in total from when we were seated. What restaurant brings out each dish 10 minutes apart for a group and doesn’t advise us an order is out of stock...
