Interesting little mini golf with two 18 hole courses. The courses are ok. Absolutely dreadful sound system makes you want to leave and go almost anywhere else. They we're playing the local radio station at full blast with the frequency not quite selected. The static was unbearable and provided painful accompaniment throughout what then felt like an interminably long torturous session at the dentist. The hot dogs were like eating tasteless rubber. The process of buying an ice cream cone was like the Spanish inquisition. 1/ present yourself at the first cashier. 2/state size of intended purchase. 3/ state type of receptacle for said dairy product. 4/ pay for item and be sure to receive receipt for next step. 5/ No you can't pay for golf, ice cream or rubbery hot dog as a package. 6/ make your way to different cash register with a different server. 7/present piece of paper to new server. 8/Re-state ice cream size & receptacle to new cashier. 9/choose flavour of boring Island Farms ice Cream that is available in virtually every other ice cream place in Parksville. 10/ Accept too small portion of...
Read moreRelatively quiet when we went, so no major line ups. Course features are professionally designed & built of concrete. Course is tidy & relatively well kept. Creek & lagoon are dyed an unnatural blue, but not out of sync with the fun theme of the park. 2 different courses a benefit. Be prepared for waiting if you find yourself caught up with the group ahead of you. There is the occasional bench to sit on asking the way, but mostly standing. Little chance of hole-in-ones, especially multi-level holes as the channel from upper to lower level isn't lined up properly (unlike those at Paradise Mini Putt up the highway). Don't expect to score well, have fun instead!
Bumper cars are fun if you can manage being spun! Lasers can easily hit targets on other cars, which spin the targeted car for 30 secs. Unfortunately, I cannot handle it, but the kids love it.
There's a small arcade to add to the fun & a cafe that serves ice cream, mini donuts, drinks, snacks. Hot food wasn't available when we we're there so don't go...
Read moreWe’ve been at this place three times in the past week. The facility itself is quite wonderful. The staff, however, does absolutely nothing except make sure they close on time.
It rained all day and the seats were covered with water. I asked the staff for a rag to dry off some chairs and she handed me a rag like it was my job to clean tables. Everyone was standing and eating their ice cream while staff was doing nothing.
Every evening while we are golfing the staff would walk by and remind us that they close at 9 pm. That seemed to be all they would put effort into - leaving on time. At 8:59, the music stops. You can finish your 18 holes, but they won’t let you enjoy it.
If the ownership can reach out and let me know they are teaching their staff to provide some service, I will change this review (I’m not looking for any...
