If u can believe it the Stewart park festival doesn't allow pets there. I have never been to a festival where a dog couldn't go with u. This town really doesn't like doggos I think. The park is ok.....nothing great here. Rib fest runs the same time as this festival in Smith Falls. I suggest u go there, better food too. The most uncomfortable part was the 5 police officers standing right there as u entered, very uncomfortable for me, most of the people there were over 80. Anyway, they were protecting us I guess, from what IDK. I think it was cause alot of people were coming and going from in and out of town and cause it was a Perth thing but it was interesting. Read moreI have been to this park a number of times, and enjoyed the experience every time. It's pretty big, with mature trees and quite a bit of shade. It's close to the Perth downtown area, and which also makes for an enjoyable stroll down its decorated sidewalks lined with traditional buildings and scores of exotic stores. But what takes the cake is the Tay Rapids in the middle of the park, and the constant murmuring of which is calming and relaxing. Two beautiful bridges over the water-body add to the overall ambience of the park. The restroom facilities on one side of the park, across a narrow street, are quite adequate.
