It has taken me almost three weeks to absorb and come up with the adequate/ perfect words to describe our experience. There are no words . I need to preface this review by saying - I was raised in a restaurant and I am incredibly picky on every detail. My daughter had her wedding dinner at Maximilian’s Aug 5 2023. Right from the get go there was absolute excellence. The planning , communication, their willingness to please was unbelievable. The decor and the table settings were absolutely beautiful ! The hors d’ oeuvres custom made with Sherri ‘s creativity and excellence were raved over. The presentation of the choices of entrées offered ( oh my Lord and there were also numerous choices allowed to be had ) were beautiful! The flavours of all dishes were incredible ! The owners , and the staff worked their buns off for all of us and absolutely everything was attention to detail. From the first meeting to the last crumb of the dessert - an absolute top notch experience. Comparing celebration venue / communication/ choices/ ease to work with/ service / pricing - You cannot compare to others. We can’t thank this restaurant enough for making the wedding celebration above and beyond a fantastic experience and memory. To Joan, Kevin , Sherri and staff- thank you...

Update April 2023: Lunch! Always had dinner here, now I have even another reason to come! Not that I already didn't. Schnitzel on a bun topped with sauteed onions, apple and brie. Whoa! So good.
Schnitzel, spaetzel and kraut oh my!
The short of it is that if you are in the area, or even if your not in the area, Maximilian's is a must eat.
The in-laws have been going here since the '80s, and I don't think the menu has changed! Which is good. They make the best schnitzel, hands down, bar-none.
Service is what you expect from and old world restaurant, attentive and unflinching. The dining room has an German charm that gives you a sense of the alps. The patio outback has a terrific view of the pond with a fountain. Very picturesque.
Reservations are recommended, and covid protocols are followed, depending on when this is read, please check with the restaurant for details.
Was just there this evening, the food, which I thought was impossible, has improved. The best schnitzel I have ever had. Kitchen was on-point tonight, like usual, but...
Read moreDined at this establishment on the suggestion of relatives who claimed it to be very good, for the one thing a Bavarian restaurant should be good for, Schnitzel! Granted the paper thin schnitzel was tasty, when it eventually arrived, but it was cooled by a coagulated mess of what I suspect was a mushroom soup being lumped on top leaving both the soup, held out as sauce and schnitzel, cool. The entire experience was less than MEH and the only thing worse was the "creamy vegetable" soup which was nothing more than a tasteless, runny, watery gruel that looked like it had been prepared in a blender. The wait staff were good enough to remove the soup from our bill of over $200 but we will now be in search of a better place as the time and experience at this much revered establishment was simply not worth it! I mentioned such was the case to the person I paid my bill to and was told they were sorry I wasn't happy but the waiter was also scarce once he took the soup back. I appreciate the comments from the owner and if my comments help them improve,...
