See the original review below After our original experience which was much less than lack lustre we were reached out to by Kyle the mgr. He was nothing but professional, understood the situation and was more than eager to make things right. He addressed all the problems inhouse and invited us back for a replacement meal on him to experience things the way they should be. I am very happy to say that we went in and got (to best compare apples to apples) the exact same meal. The only issue we had was that still the calamari portion was quite small for the price and the bacon needed to be cooked properly but the expereince, service, food, flavours, and overall experience from start to finish was fantastic. It really goes to show you that there are some places that take their missteps seriously and seriously try to fix things and improve. Well done and we look forward to coming back the next time we're in Perth!
Priced for a mid high end meal....not at all what you get. We arrived and were told we couldn't sit at a table for our group of 5 then when it became convenient for them as they needed the table they sat us at for a larger group they "let us" sit at the other table. And it went down from there. Slow service, the hostess didn't know who the servers were, the prices were high for pub food and the quality was low end. Calamari was greasy, overcooked, small portion, and smelled a "little too fishy", the chicken BLT sammy was rubbery chicken with raw bacon (which we sent back to be recooked, which came out 10 min later still rubbery but by this time we needed to go and weren't willing to wait another 10 min for a little bacon) and the ceasar salad was drowning in dressing. The kids burgers were decent though once you remove the rusted leaf lettuce. The fancy coffee (butterscotch ripple) had zero flavour but coffee and whipped cream. Service was a young lady who seemed a little overwhelmed and not quite sure what was going on as the tables around us were served and billed in no particular order of seating regardless of size or order. A real let down for a $100...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Fiddleheads Bar and Grill in Perth, Ontario, Canada, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant.
For my drink, I opted for a 12-year Glenfiddich, and it was an absolute delight. The depth of flavors and smoothness of this whisky set the tone for the rest of the evening. It was clear that the bar at Fiddleheads takes its craft seriously, and the bartender, whose name unfortunately escapes me, was truly skilled at her job. She mixed the perfect drinks and was attentive without being intrusive.
Moving on to the appetizer, I had a serving of calamari, and it was cooked to perfection. The calamari was tender, lightly seasoned, and accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce that added an extra layer of flavor. It was the ideal start to my meal.
For the main course, I chose the garlic fettuccine with sautéed baby tomatoes, and I decided to add a grilled chicken breast. The fettuccine was cooked al dente, and the garlic-infused cream sauce was heavenly. The sautéed baby tomatoes added a burst of freshness to every bite, and the grilled chicken breast was juicy and perfectly seasoned. It was a symphony of flavors on my plate.
To conclude this delightful dining experience, I indulged in the Berry cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was rich, creamy, and topped with a generous amount of fresh berry sauce It was the perfect sweet note to end my meal on.
Overall, my experience at Fiddleheads Bar and Grill was a perfect 10 out of 10. The combination of exceptional food, a talented bartender, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a memorable evening. I highly recommend Fiddleheads to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Perth, Ontario. It's a true gem, and I can't wait to return for another...
Read moreUsed to be one of my husband and I's favourite spots to eat - would go once a week when we lived in Perth. We moved away from Perth 3 years ago and hadn't been to the restaurant for some time. We were in Perth Feb.23 for a mini vacation. Without discussion, we both knew we were going to fiddleheads for supper. When we walked in we noticed that they had made some changes to the decor - the cool old singer sewing machine tables were gone (such a shame) and the old bottle cap standing table was gone (sad). We ordered some old favs (calamari, nachos, caesar salad and deep fried zucchini) we were disappointed in everything! Calamari and zucchini came out dripping with grease - we also noticed that the quality of the zucchini and calamari was poor as well, which at one time was amazing. The nachos (which at one time was a staple in my husband and I's life) looks like the saddest plate of nachos - and my husband even commented that the chips tasted stale. The Caesar salad did still taste good - I will admit that fiddleheads has one of my favourite caesar salads. As we made our way there at 7pm on a Saturday we were discussing where we wanted to sit - in the bar, restaurant or atrium, and I said "let's just see how busy it is when we get there" when we walked in there was 1 group of 4 in the bar, 2 groups in the restaurant and no one in the atrium. My husband and I both commented "where is everyone?" After getting our food....we understood. Very sad to see a restaurant that we shared so many laughs and celebrations turn into one that we will...
