I enjoy the 7.5km trail that is advertised at the top of Victoria St. Entrance across from the mini mall. You walk on a trail through Centennial Park which includes a few play structures and access to see white water rapids. Continue walking on this paved path and it will be bring you around and down to Petawawa Point, another local attraction for beach goers, boaters and fishing. I will mention that the bathrooms in Centennial park don't open until 10am and close at 8 I believe. There are a few picnic tables and parking is located in a lot off the mentioned address if you don't feel up to walking. The man made pond is great for swimming but swim at your own risk as there are no life guards. Kilometers of trails twist and turn their way through the park featuring rests stops with benches overlooking the river. These trails are kept clear in the winter time so people can still use them.
