Right next to the river, it offers a lot of variety: a long, crushed gravel path that is great for running or biking on and connects to the rest of the meewasin network, a fun playground for kids, a mix of a little bit of lawn, but mostly natural areas that offer adventure for young and old (the little side river channel is usually dry and has some fun side-leaning tree trunks to climb on, and there's a mini grassland area with large climbing stones), and there's even a nice sandy beach in the summer. Read moreGabriel Dumont Park is a small unmaintained place. I don't think it can be called a park. When you enter, the first thing you notice is that there are no paved roads. After you start driving on a dirt road bumping your head against the car ceiling and windows for two minutes, you reach a small parking which is again unpaved. There is a massive growth of shrubs and trees everywhere with no maintenance to be seen.
