Tastebuds Cafe — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I'd have to agree with other reviews saying that some of the staff can sometimes have a bad attitude and make you feel uncomfortable. Been living in exhibition area for a while and was always pretty happy to have a nice coffee shop nearby. Although, as they would increase the value of certain products it doesn't mean they would act more friendly or make better quality food. An example : the cinnamon buns. They taste exactly the same as the Superstore ones and for 2 buns they charge 5 bucks where for about that price you get 12 buns at Superstore. Plus they might not even offer to reheat them or anything.. Feels like they hate their job really.

And to be honest the rest of their 'homemade' pastry and cakes are far to be amazing for how much they cost. Then again, it depends on who is in that day but I remember one cashier one time pretended to have forgotten I ordered a slice of cake to go and would of let me leave...

Used to go here for lunch all the time as a kid when I attended buena vista elementary school. I hadn’t been since for some reason.. (out of route, out of mind for me I guess). It’s been 13yrs, I placed an order for pick up as a treat to not cook & I was really hungry for a soup and sandwich. Hands down, 1000% impressed & definitely recommend this place. I got the egg salad on a croissant (seriously the most beautiful sandwich I’ve ever been served to go, and the best egg salad with red onion) paired with a potato dill soup! (I was kind of skeptical on the soup at first until I tried it, absolutely phenomenal!!) 10/10! Worth...

I have mixed opinions about this place. On one hand, they have my favorite ice cream flavor, but on the other, the ice cream machine is almost always broken. The last time I was there my boyfriend and I ordered pie, a scone, and some soup. The soup and scone came out immediately, but after waiting for around 20 minutes I went to go check on the pie. The servers were just standing in the back talking and laughing. We were the only customers so I don't know why it was so difficult to manage three items. I asked if we could get the pie and they acted like I was in the wrong. Made me very uncomfortable and I probably...
