Haig Bowl Arena — Attraction in St. Catharines

Went with a 5 year old boy to the park attached to the arena. He needed a washroom. Since the arena was open, I went to take him to the washroom so he could poop. Though I could have simply followed the signs and taken him into the washroom, I thought he should learn about respect and ask to use the facility. Was told, quite abruptly, no, that it was a private club and if she let him use the washroom, she'd have to let others. A private club? Don't they have public skating? We were there for a six-year old's birthday party. The party space is supposed to be rented for two hours. After 45 minutes, a men's ball hockey team comes in and starts playing on the rink. The kids were pushed out to a tiny space at the outside of the rink at the far corner. For the price of the rental, there should not have been other people allowed. Also, when the original queries were made, it was stated that there would be sticks and helmets. The only sticks were adult sticks, and there were only a few kids helmets. Not pleased! We would not repeat that experience, nor would I ever recommend it as a place for kids'...

We rented the floor for a ball hockey event and showed up an hour before the game. We were kicked out of the rink and told we couldn't access dressing rooms until our scheduled floor time. Who doesn't give access to rooms at least 30 minutes before the schedule floor time? The manager was extremely rude and dismissive.
