Food is pretty terrific here! All breads and toppings are perfectly fresh. My grilled chicken was a little thin, but the cold cut and the meatball have both been Rock solid. The prices are also very fair. We pay about 12:54 at 12 in sub. It's pretty even-handed as well. The price is the same regardless of what you order. We also tried the milkshake. I certainly couldn't afford to do it all the time, but it was wonderful to experience it once.

The service was friendly and helpful. They built our sandwiches exactly the way we asked them to. It wasn't quite as systematic as a subway, where they can get an order through at lightning speed, but it was also nice not to feel rushed.

We eat late a lot. We would order here a lot more, but it's only open until 8:00. I guess, that is the price you pay to get a great sandwich for a decent price. Labor and material all cost money, so it's probably Subway for us if we need to eat at 9:30, and we'll just be grateful to have this amenity when we can get it. My kids are getting old enough now to appreciate ice cream, and there are 20 flavors of coerce coming into this creamery. I'm guessing we will make a point of going in on the weekend for a scoop.

Overall, this is a terrific...

I'm a person that doesn't comment on anything I'm old school and don't post on anything but I felt compelled to comment on your business I'm a very picky eater especially when it comes to subs I have had many subs from a variety of places and thought they were ok nothing special My husband and I try to support local and small businesses so being around the corner from where we live we got subs and were impressed! The quality and quantity of meat was amazing! Since then we continue to try the different varieties of subs you offer you do not disappoint! Again being a picky eater I'm truly impressed and get what I want the way I want it! Lots of toppings it's hard to pick a favorite! Just had the tuna yum! Also you and your team are polite, friendly and helpful! We will continue to try all the menu and your shakes are the bomb! Want people to know you have a great local business and want you to have continued success! I think it might be a steak sub tonight or your Tuesday special! What I do miss is not seeing your menu like...

Having Celiac Disease makes visiting Subway or Mr. Sub an absolute nightmare and induces panic when trying to order a sub sandwich for my young child when he has a craving for one. (The workers behind the counter are painstakingly annoyed that we need fresh toppings to avoid cross contact with gluten and then others waiting their turn in line become agitated and rude — que panic .) Here, at Lake Street Subs, one can safely order a sandwich without the fear of having symptoms for days or weeks. The bread is from a local dedicated gluten-free bakery (Edible Options), Toppings are fresh and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Best of all, the sandwiches are delicious! Knowing that I can get a safe meal that is full of toppings and friendly service certainly makes the drive in from Welland well worth it. Looking forward to ordering again soon. For reference, I the...

For a place that calls itself a sub shop, very disappointing. Not very many menu options. Staff were nice but seemed confused by us wanting subs at lunch time. At a sub shop. They didn’t have any meats out and had to get out my steak and microwave it. Very very skimpy with the meat as well. Only one strip of bacon on a club sub?? And only one type of cheese to choose from. Atmosphere was odd, very cramped and had a strange smell. People say the ice cream is good, I didn’t try but it’s just Kawartha Dairy which you can get anywhere, even at the grocery store. Prices were fair and I try to support local but I’m sorry to say Subway is better. If you want to call yourself a sub shop make better subs!

Ordered a chicken Parm sub that came to $16. The "chicken" was like McCain fries off brand fish tenders but for chicken, breaded the same and flat circle patties. Sub came out of the kitchen cold to the touch, with some shredded cheese under neat unmelted and a tiny bit of marinara sauce on the top. Was gross and couldn't even eat it. Like literally for that price I could have gotten a chicken Parmesan (made fresh with real chicken breast) and pasta from any actual restaurant... 10/10 would NOT recommend and advise avoiding this joke show. Here's a pic of my $16 "chicken Parmesan" sub for evidence...
